  • During Your Trip

    Electricity

South Africa uses 230 V electricity and Type M, N and C outlets. We recommend bringing a universal travel adapter so you can easily use your devices during the trip. Most modern electronics are designed to work at 100–240 V and will not require a voltage converter. If your device is not dual-voltage, be sure to bring a voltage converter as well.

Most camera batteries, cell phones and computer chargers have 110/220/230-V converters built in, but double check this. With the proper adapters, you can easily re-charge your batteries in all the accommodations.

    Gratuities

Gratuities, including your hotel staff (except for room service and laundry delivery), porter, guides, driver, rangers, and restaurant staff are included. If you received exceptional service from someone, you are welcome to give an additional gratuity. If you book an optional excursion, it is appropriate to tip your guide.

    Internet

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at all the hotels.

    Laundry Services

Laundry, pressing, and dry-cleaning services are available at the hotels for an extra charge. Pricing is available at each hotel and may vary depending on the hotel.

    Medical Services

Should you require medical assistance during your trip, medical facilities are widely available in the major cities we visit. While staying at Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge, a clinic in a nearby town is available to provide medical treatment if needed. Please note that medical services are provided at an additional cost.

    Phone

We suggest you check with your carrier about cell phone service in South Africa. Most carriers have a travel plan that is a daily fee you pay to be able to use your phone on the local cell phone carrier network.

    Smoking Policy

All hotels are nonsmoking. Please refrain from smoking in enclosed places where it may affect others.

  • After Your Trip

    Transfers to the Airport

On the final day of the trip, February 25, 2028, you may schedule your flight home at any time (hotel check-out is 11 am). A group transfer to the airport will be provided, with the departure time scheduled based on your flight..
