After an early breakfast, your day begins with an orientation tour of Calgary to Stampede Park, Saddle Dome and Downtown, McMahon Stadium, and Olympic Oval. Then travel west to Banff National Park, Canada’s first official national park and the flagship with some of the country’s most iconic and scenic sites. Travel through the hamlet of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. You will have time to explore the turquoise water and surrounding Valley of the Ten Peaks, a majestic view that appeared on versions of the Canadian twenty-dollar bill. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Moraine Lake before continuing to Lake Louise. The vivid blue of the lake and majestic Victoria Glacier create a magnificent backdrop for your stay at Chateau Lake Louise. Once you have settled in during the late afternoon, enjoy an evening at leisure to stroll lakeside, sip a cocktail at one of the many lounges, and have dinner on your own. (B/L/-)

After breakfast, travel north along the Icefields Parkway, arguably one of Canada’s most scenic drives, with awe-inspiring views around every corner. Paralleling the continental divide, this parkway joins Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. Along the way, we will make photo stops at Peyto Lake and Athabasca Falls, just to name a few! We’ll take time for a picnic lunch to relax and enjoy the views. Continue to the town of Jasper for an orientation drive before arriving at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge where you can take in the evening at your leisure. (B/L/-)

1. Maligne Valley, Canyon, and Lake Tour (3-hour experience): Get a proper introduction to the wonders and wildlife of the spectacular Maligne Valley on this excellent adventure! Join an expert local guide for a fascinating drive along the valley floor through subalpine forest to “disappearing” Medicine Lake. Approx. price $30 USD.
2. Rocky Mountain Wildlife Safari and Scenic Dinner (4-hour experience): There are few things as exciting and satisfying as spotting wildlife in its natural environment, and this fantastic evening excursion presents an incredible opportunity to experience it! Your evening begins with dinner at a local restaurant then, along with your local guide, head out in search of bear, elk, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and other alpine creatures. Approx. price $74 USD. (Offered on September 14 only).
3. Athabasca River Float Trip (3-hour experience): This easy and highly scenic rafting float trip takes you 10 miles (16 km) down the Athabasca River for a unique perspective of Jasper National Park. Approx. price $60 USD.
4. Maligne Lake Cruise to Spirit Island (3-hour experience): Embark on a comfortable boat for a 90-minute narrated cruise across sparkling Maligne Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the legendary Valley of the Ten Peaks. Learn about the lake’s fascinating history, geology, flora, and fauna as you make your way to Spirit Island, one of the most photographed places in the Canadian Rockies! Approx. price $63 USD.

Depart Jasper National Park for a return trip along the Icefields Parkway en route to Columbia Icefield, the largest mass of glacial ice in the Rockies. Experience the Columbia Icefield Scenic Ice Explorer ride on Athabasca Glacier, along with time to step out on the glacier. Afterwards, return to the Glacier Discovery Center, where you will have time to explore the exhibits, enjoy lunch with a view, and relax after your glacier experience. This afternoon, continue to Banff National Park for an afternoon discovering the Natural Bridge over Kicking Horse River, Emerald Lake, and a drive around Tunnel Mountain featuring Bow River and Falls. You will end the day in the town of Banff, surrounded by majestic peaks and located along the Bow River. Visit the many shops, art galleries, restaurants, and pubs along Banff Avenue.
