Welcome to Amsterdam! The capital of the Netherlands is sophisticated and modern, with a rich and fascinating history. The works of famous Dutch masters can be seen in world-renowned museums such as the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh. Board your riverboat around 4 pm for a welcome reception and dinner.

Tuesday, October 5, 2021 Amsterdam, The Netherlands

There is no better way to see the city than by canal boat! We’ll take a canal tour through the elegant grachten (canals) lined with stately homes dating back to Amsterdam’s “Golden Age.” There’s free time in the afternoon to explore on your own or enjoy an optional tour. Afterward, we set sail for Cologne.

Wednesday, October 6, 2021 Cologne, Germany

Enjoy a peaceful morning of cruising before we reach gay-friendly Cologne. The Germano-Roman Museum, located next to the magnificent gothic cathedral, is a must for history buffs! Sip a kĂślsch in one of the many beer a taverns, shop for the original eau de cologne "4711", and enjoy an included city or Jewish heritage walking tour.

Thursday, October 7, 2021 Rüdesheim – Rhine Gorge – Koblenz, Germany

In pretty Rüdesheim, visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Museum to hear 18th-20th c. century self-playing instruments. We’ll then cruise the dramatic Rhine Gorge to the confluence of Rhine and Moselle Rivers—the Deutsches Eck. Finally, enjoy a walking tour of 2,000-year-old Koblenz’s castles and squares.

Friday, October 8, 2021 Cochem, Germany

Relax and enjoy the view while sailing through the Moselle Valley, famous for beautiful villages and vineyards. Enjoy an included guided walking tour to see Cochem’s half-timbered houses and winding streets, and visit hilltop Reichsburg Castle with its bird’s-eye view of the Moselle Valley and river’s bend.

Saturday, October 9, 2021 Bernkastel, Germany

Today enjoy an included walking tour of charming Bernkastel, with its medieval marketplace and 17th-c. century gabled timber-framed houses. This afternoon spend your free time hiking to view the vast vineyard landscapes, biking through the Renaissance-style village, or relaxing at a German wine tasting.

Today we arrive in Remich, the “Pearl of the Moselle,” with panoramic views of forests and vineyards. Ancient worlds, old world charm, and world-class wine will await you on the included guided tour of Luxembourg City, which features dramatic views of the gorge, ancient ruins, and modern architecture.
