Being LGBTQ+ in the Caribbean
The islands of the Caribbean are home to many gay- and lesbian-friendly countries and the Turks and Caicos Islands are considered a safe destination for LGBTQ tourists.
Climate
In November, the temperature in Turks and Caicos should range between a low of 74°F (23°C) and high of 85°F (29°C), with temperatures generally hovering around 81°F (27°C). Some rain falls in November, averaging about 5 inches during the entire month. At night it can get breezy, but mostly you’ll be fine in shorts and a T-shirt.
Currency
The US dollar is accepted in Turks and Caicos.
Languages
The official language of Turks and Caicos is English.
Health & Safety
Health & Safety All travelers to Turks and Caicos must be fully vaccinated. Your vaccination status will be checked by your airline prior to boarding and on arrival in the Turks and Caicos. Vaccine boosters are not required. In our continued efforts to keep a safe and healthy resort vacation for all guests, at this time, we will require all guests bring proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen test prior to departing home (home tests are ok) and show it at check-in. More specific information will be shared as we get closer to the trip.

Unexpected events can cause you to cancel your vacation. Because we are committed to this charter, we must strictly adhere to our cancellation policy as outlined in our Olivia Terms & Conditions.
Transfer funds are nonrefundable and nontransferable from the point of sale forward.

If your birthday falls on a date during the trip, or you will celebrate an anniversary or any other special event during the week of your trip that you have not already told your Olivia Travel Consultant about, please let us know as soon as possible, but no less than 90 days prior to the trip.

Passport and Visa
Guests must have in their possession a passport that is valid for six months after their date of arrival in Turks and Caicos.
A visa is not required for US travelers. All other travelers should check with their local consulate to determine what travel documents are required.

Vaccinations
Please check with your local Public Health Department or personal physician regarding immunizations you may need. You may also check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website. Click on the Travelers’ Health section, then click on the Destinations link and choose Turks and Caicos Islands.

Travel and arrival
Airports
You will need to fly into and out of Providenciales (PLS) International Airport which is located approximately 20–25 minutes from the resort.
Transfers and Meeting Up with Olivia
Your round-trip transfers to and from Providenciales (PLS) airport are included on November 26 and December 3, 2022. If you purchase pre or post nights through Olivia, your transfers will be included on your arrival and departure days according to your flight times. We will request your flight information approximately 90 days in advance of the trip to ensure you receive your transfer.
Check-In
Arrive any time on November 26, 2022. Official check in time is 3 pm. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage and enjoy the resort until your room is available. Upon arrival, you will be asked to provide your credit card to open a resort account. With a resort account, you can bill services and purchases to your room during your stay.

Dining
Enjoy all-inclusive meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—in two restaurants.
Grace Bay
This assisted service buffet-style restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a newly redesigned area. It offers an international breakfast as well as a wide choice of local and international cuisine for lunch and dinner.
Sharkies Grill & Beach Bar
With its shady beach terrace, this open-air restaurant is open through the day and evening; it serves snacks such as tacos, burgers, and french fries.
Electricity
Rooms are equipped with standard US 110-volt outlets.
Excursions
The resort offers a wide array of excursion options available at an extra charge. Offerings include sunset cruises, scuba diving, stand-up paddle boarding, horseback riding, and golf outings. A list of excursions will be available at approximately 30 days prior to the trip. Bookings take place at the resort.
Gratuities
Gratuities to resort staff are included in the cost of the trip.
Hair Dryers
There is a hair dryer in your room. If you prefer a stronger wattage, we encourage you to bring your own.
Internet
Basic wifi internet is included. Premium wifi can be purchased at the resort.
Laundry Services
Laundry, pressing, and dry cleaning services are available for an additional charge.
Medical Services
There is an infirmary at the resort. Standard fees are charged for medical services.
Sisters at Play & Friends
Sisters at Play & Friends program is dedicated to promoting and celebrating diversity on our trips. Meet your Olivia Sisters at Play coordinator so you can find out about the special events we have planned for you during the week. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
Smoking Policy
Following new Tobacco Control Law by Turks and Caicos Islands authority, smoking (both cigarettes and e-cigarettes) in Club Med Turkoise is strictly prohibited. For your convenience, there are two designated smoking areas in the resort.
Solo Travelers
Traveling solo? Be sure to attend the Solos Welcome on the first day. Here you will meet your Olivia Solos Coordinator who will share your Solos program for the week. We plan dozens of activities for our solo travelers, including a special designated Solos excursion. In addition, we organize a special Solos dining area for all meals and reserve a section for the nightly shows.
Spa Services
Indulge and relax at the resort’s spa. Traditional massages and spa packages are available for a fee.
Telephone
Each room has a phone to call between rooms or to call the reception desk. There is a cost to call outside of the resort. Most guests use their cell phones and use wifi calling services such as FaceTime Audio and WhatsApp.

This trip requires a good level of mobility, as some the resort is spread out with rooms sometimes being a distance from, activities, the main lobby, restaurants, and the beach. Excursions with varying activity levels are offered. If you do have limited mobility, it’s recommended that you travel with someone who can assist you.
