Travel and Arrival
Airport
You will need to fly in and out of Juneau, Alaska (JUN) Airport.
Flight Arrival and Departure Times
Arrivals:
Flights should be scheduled to arrive at Juneau Airport (JUN) on Friday, August 6, 2021, no later than 2:30 pm. You will be transferred from the airport to our hospitality room in downtown Juneau to relax and store your luggage. This gives you the opportunity to walk around downtown Juneau before our group transfer departs for the ship in the late afternoon at approximately 4:30pm.
Departures:
For all flights departing out of Juneau (JUN) on Friday, August 13, 2021, please make your flight for after 11:30 am. You will be transferred directly to the Juneau Airport from the ship, after breakfast. An option to be dropped off at our hospitality room in downtown Juneau will be available for those who either booked late afternoon flights, or are overnighting in Juneau. Those with late afternoon flights can store their luggage in the hospitality room so you can enjoy the downtown area, or perhaps take a tram to the top of Juneau to hike, enjoy a lunch or visit Mendenhall Glacier on your own. Transfers to the airport from the downtown hospitality room will be on your own.
Getting Your Ship
If you are arriving on August 6, you will be greeted at the Juneau Airport and transferred to our hospitality room at the convention center in downtown Juneau. Here you can check-in your luggage and enjoy downtown Juneau. You will be transferred from the hospitality room to the ship in the late afternoon, at approximately 4:30 pm.
Luggage Allowances
While there is no luggage limit on the cruise itself, airlines often restrict (or charge) for excess baggage. Because each airline is different, and the regulations change over time, please check with your airline for baggage allowances.
