If you are not a US citizen, please check with your country’s consulate to make sure that you do not need an entry visa or other additional documentation.
Vaccinations
Please check with your local Public Health Department or personal physician regarding immunization requirements for all countries on your itinerary. You may also check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Web site at: www.cdc.gov. Just click on “Traveler’s Health” and then “Vaccinations.” Malaria exists year round in the Amazon. Travel and arrival

Air travel
Where to fly into/out of
You will need to fly into and out Manaus, Brazil (MAO).
Suggested arrival/departure times
You may check into our hotel in Manaus anytime after 2:00 PM on the first day of the trip, February 20, 2010. On the last day of the trip, February 28, 2010, you can take advantage of an included day room or overnight accommodations at our Manaus hotel.
Discount airfare offer

If you would like to fly American Airlines to Miami (MIA) before connecting on another airline to Manaus, you can use our 7% American Airlines discount for the domestic portion of your trip. Please go to www.aa.com/rainbow and reference code A2820AA.

If you would like to take advantage of the discounted airfare rates that Above and Beyond Tours in Palm Springs has negotiated with TAM Airlines on our behalf, please call them directly at (800) 397-2681. There are limited spaces, so we suggest you call as soon as you can.

Luggage allowances
While there is no luggage limit on the cruise itself, airlines often restrict (or charge) for excess baggage. Because each airline is different, and the regulations change over time, please check with your airline for baggage allowances. For example, TAM airlines does not always allow more than one carry on more than 5 lbs, depending on the agent who checks you in, so be prepared to check large carry-ons or roll-ons.
