- What’s included and what’s not

The price of your trip includes seven nights’ accommodation, Olivia’s signature programming and evening entertainment, all meals in four different restaurants, 24 hour room service, round-trip transfers to/from the airport (on arrival and departure day), complimentary wireless internet and long distance telephone calls, in-room mini bars, all soft drinks, most alcoholic beverages including top-shelf cocktails, and most activities.
The following items are not included: airfare, travel insurance, excursions, certain designated alcohols. NDA charges (resort fees) are not included in the price of the trip but have already been added to your reservation as reflected on your invoice.
- Travel documentation and identification
- You will need a passport that is valid for six months past the date of the trip. If you are not a US citizen, please check with both your country’s consulate and the Mexican consulate to make sure that you do not need an entry visa or other additional documentation.
- Vaccinations
- Please check with your local Public Heath Department or personal physician regarding immunization requirements for all countries on your itinerary. You may also check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Web site at: www.cdc.gov. Just click on “Traveler’s Health” and then “Vaccinations.”
- Travel insurance
- We encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance. Olivia has recently partnered with Travel Guard to make things easier for you; you can now add your travel insurance when you book your trip, all in one call. In order to receive the most comprehensive coverage, please purchase your insurance within 15 days of your initial invoice. - In October and November, Puerto Vallarta weather usually has highs of around 85 degrees and lows of around 68 degrees.
- Currency
- TThe local currency is the peso, but you can also use US dollars. An ATM is available in the resort lobby.

- Puerto Vallarta is 2 hours ahead of the West Coast and 1 hour behind the East Coast of the US.

We are proud to partner with American Airlines.The AA discount code A36H2AZ applies to flights in and out of Puerto Vallarta (PVR). Dates of travel are October 22, 2012 – November 8, 2012. Airfare can be booked no earlier than 11 months before the trip. This reservation can be booked by calling (800) 433-1790 ($25 booking fee applies) or visiting www.aa.com/rainbow (no booking fee and please remove the preceding “A” when booking online).
- Luggage allowances
- While there is no luggage limit at the resort, airlines often restrict (or charge) for excess baggage. Because each airline is different, and the regulations change over time, please check with your airline for baggage allowances.
- Transfers and meeting up with Olivia

- Getting to the resort
- Transfers from the airport to the resort are included on the first day of the trip (October 27, 2012). The airport is approximately 20-30 minute driving time from our resort. Once you book your flights, visit your Olivia Travel Profile and enter your flight information.
- Check in
- Arrive into Puerto Vallarta at your leisure. Check in is after 3 p.m. on the day of arrival (October 27, 2012).

This upscale resort boasts four restaurants, three bars, poolside service, two outdoor swimming pools, two outdoor Jacuzzis, a beach volleyball court, a 7-hole putting green, bicycles, billiards, complimentary WiFi Internet service, 5 spa treatment rooms, a concierge, bell staff, a beauty salon, gift shop, dry cleaning & laundry service, currency exchange and ATM Machine. Please note that some of these amenities require an additional fee.

Amenities include in-room Jacuzzi tubs, marble bathrooms with separate shower; turn down service, liquor dispenser, mini bar (containing sodas, bottled water and domestic beer), individually controlled A/C, ceiling fan, satellite TV, purified water, Farouk bath amenities, bathrobes, slippers, digital safe, coffee maker, direct dial phone, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron, ironing board. Every room has a French balcony, unless otherwise stated.

- Seating policy
- Meals are open seating. We will have a special solos dining area.
- Restaurants and bars
- There are 4 restaurants at the resort, each offering a unique dining experience. Bugambilias is the casual Mexican buffet, Mar Intimo serves Italian food, La Fiesta provides Brazilian cuisine, MoMoNoHana is the Japanese restaurant.
Electricity
The rooms have 110 volt electricity, which is the same as the US.
Excursions
Excursions include activities such as snorkeling, zipline canopy tours, swimming with dolphins and city tours. These options are offered by Olivia’s third party tour operator and are subject to change. Tours are an additional charge and can be booked at the resort.
Gratuities
Gratuities are included in the cost of the trip.
Internet/e-mail/fax
Complimentary Internet access is available throughout the resort.
Laundry and dry cleaning
Laundry and dry cleaning are available for a fee.
Medical services
There is a doctor on call 24 hours a day. There is an extra fee for medical attention.
Phone
Each room has a phone and unlimited international calls to the continental US, Canada and Mexico are complimentary.
Smoking policy
Guest rooms and public indoor spaces are non-smoking areas. Guests may smoke on their balconies. An outside smoking section will be designated near the pool.
Spa services
There is a spa onsite. Massages and other services are available for an additional charge.
Solo travelers
We will have a solos program at the resort, including a solos dining area at dinner and dozens of singles activities throughout the week.
After your Trip
- Chack out time
- Check out is 11 a.m. on November 3, 2012.
- Transfers to the airport
- Transfers to the airport on the last day of the trip (November 3, 2012) are included. In order to provide you with a transfer, we will need your departing flight information. Once you book your flights, visit your Olivia Travel Profile and enter your flight information.
