We will be offering a pre-night in Nice, France (July 19-20) and a 2-night post-vacation stretcher in Paris, France (July 27-29). Transfers from our host hotel in Nice to the ship in Arles, as well as your transfer from the ship in Chalon-sur-Saône to our host hotel in Paris are included in the cost of the trip.

SUN KISSED IN NICE - PRE

The Queen of the Riviera is the start of your journey where images of cloudless skies, white sandy beaches and sparkling turquoise waters await you. Extend your cruise with our pre cruise vacation stretcher where you will enjoy the peace of mind to get in a day early as well as the comforts and location of the Boscolo Plaza Hotel, perfectly located on the Angels Bay. Enjoy a glass of French wine or explore the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea. In the evening an optional tour to Monte Carlo will be available.

DAY 1 – MONDAY, JULY 19
Arrive in Nice. At 4 pm join us for a short welcome briefing and wine & cheese reception. Afterward, your evening is free to explore Nice on your own or join an optional excursion to the romantic village of Eze before spending an evening and dinner in Monte Carlo. More information on this and reservations will be at the hotel.
DAY 2 – TUESDAY, JULY 20
This morning a local guide will take you on a walking tour through the old part of Nice with free time for lunch on your own. After lunch, you will transfer by motorcoach and tour the area of Provence on the way to Arles, where the ms Avalon Scenery will be awaiting you.

EXPLORE PARIS - POST

No visit to France would be complete without visiting this charming city of lights and love. Extend your cruise with our post cruise vacation package in beautiful Paris while also enjoying time on your own to visit astounding landmarks such as the Louvre Museum where you can try to decipher the eternal smile of Mona Lisa or admire the sculpture of the Venus, the famous Greek goddess of love. Walk the Tuillerie Gardens down to the Place de la Concorde, where Marie Antoinette lost her head and life. Or enjoy the hustling and bustling of the Quarter Latin, sipping a cafe au lait.

DAY 1 – TUESDAY, JULY 27
Enjoy breakfast before disembarking the ms Avalon and then board your motorcoach as you travel to Beaune for a short visit and included wine tasting tour before continuing to Paris. Check into your centrally located hotel where you can enjoy nearby attractions such as the Eiffel Tower and the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Your evening is free to explore Paris on your own.
DAY 2 – WEDNESDAY, JULY 28
After breakfast, you’ll start your day in Paris with a sightseeing tour. Free time will be available in the afternoon where you explore the amazing landmarks of Paris such as the Louvre Museum. In the evening more free time or an optional dinner show at the Moulin Rouge will be available.
DAY 3 – THURSDAY, JULY 29
Enjoy breakfast then transfer on your own to the Paris Airport for your flight home.
