- Located at the foot of grand mountain peaks on the Gastineau Channel, Juneau has the massive Mendenhall Glacier and the immense Juneau ice fields at its back door. Explore the lush Tongass National Forest. Visit the rustic shops in town. Or get out and kayak, dogsled, raft, hike, whale watch, flightsee or fish. Then climb aboard the Mt. Roberts Tramway, and take in the view!

- A remnant of the Klondike gold rush, Skagway is rich with turn-of-the-century charm. Ride the antique White Pass & Yukon narrow-gauge railway through silvery-purple rock faces, past Deadhorse Gulch, and ponder the mandatory one-ton of supplies the Yukon gold prospectors hauled over steep and treacherous trails. Visit the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, and take a stroll into the past on their wooden boardwalks. Take an excursion to the world’s largest bald eagle preserve or hang out at The Red Onion Salon, whose honky tonk piano and memorabilia will serve as a backdrop to the memories you’ve made here!

- Built out over the water and climbing weathered stairways, Ketchikan clings to the shores of Tongass Narrows. Kayak along the colorful waterfront, or take a flightseeing trip to breathtaking Misty Fjords National Monument, where granite cliffs tower thousands of feet above the sea and countless waterfalls cascade into placid waters.
