About Our Destination

Food And Water: To avoid any potential problems, we suggest you drink only bottled water. Peruvian cuisine is spicy and varied. Typical dishes are “ceviche” (raw fish marinated in lemon juice), “aji de gallina” (chicken strips cooked in a sauce of milk, bread and chile peppers) and many others. You can also try a “Pisco Sour”, a typical aperitif made from pisco (grape brandy), lemon juice, egg white and syrup. Very tasty!
Clothing: Guayaquil and Lima are very warm, usually in the 80’s at this time of year. Be prepared for cooler weather in the low to mid 60’s in Cusco and Machu Picchu, which are at a higher altitude. Short drizzles may occur, as we are in the jungle, so a light rain jacket is a must.

Where to fly into/out of: You will need to fly in and out of Lima, Peru (LIM).
Suggested arrival/departure times: Please arrive anytime after 7:00AM on June 3, 2012 for the included transfer. Hotel check-in begins at 3:00PM. Your departing flight from Lima on June 9, 2012 can be at anytime after 3:00PM.
