Begin your adventure overseas by spending one, two or three nights in Venice, a fascinating city considered by many to be the “City of Water.” It is listed as a World Heritage Site in its entirety, lagoon and all. This is truly a city that is defined by water, is synonymous with romance and is fascinating in its culture and handicraft artwork. Explore the wonders of this picturesque city in a half-day walking tour as we visit some of the major sites of Venice. Basilica St. Mark’s is an intricate 11th century Byzantine church decorated with marble and mosaics overlooking St. Mark’s Square, the social, religious and political center of Venice. Doges Palace, the symbol of Venetian power and once home to the Doge of Venice, represents the supreme authority that was the Republic of Venice.
For guests who choose our three- and two-night package, venture into the Lagoon of Venice when we visit the islands of Murano, famous for the artistic Venetian glass-blowing art passed down from generation to generation; Burano, known for its lace factories, embroidery works and picturesque brightly colored homes; and Torcello, the oldest continuously populated region of Venice. Here we will visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and have lunch at the famous Locanda Cipriani.

ATHENS - POST
Known as the original home of the Olympics and the largest city and capital of Greece, Athens is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the Acropolis and the medieval Daphni Monastery. After enjoying breakfast on board the Wind Surf, we will be whisked away by coach to visit and learn about the city’s highlights: Constitution Square, the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Temple of Zeus, the Royal Palace and the Olympic Stadium. Finally, we will visit the Acropolis, located on a rocky outcrop high above the city, home to the Parthenon, a temple dedicated to the maiden goddess Athena. This ancient citadel contains the remains of great architectural buildings with historical significance and is one of the most photographed and recognizable sites in the world. We will also visit the new Acropolis museum, an archaeological museum focused on the findings of the Acropolis.
After taking in the ancient wonders of the Acropolis, we will board our coach for the Plaka, home to Athen’s shopping district. You will have the option to stay in the Plaka, 10 minutes’ walk from our hotel, to shop and dine, or you can choose to go back to the hotel with the coach.
For guests who choose our two-night package, many wonders and splendor await us as we take in the beauty of the Greek countryside. We’ll make our way to Delphi, passing the towns of Thebes and Levadia. Situated on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi is both a modern town and an archaeological site. The grandeur of Delphi has to be seen to be believed, with nature and ruins blending in an extraordinary way, making your visit here unforgettable.
