I fly from Houston to London on July 12 as I am on the Olivia pretrip and arrive in Dublin on July 16. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

 

my bucket list too , I also heard about the bus tour , I'm counting down the days first to the last day of school and my retirement then the trip.

That sounds good.  I found one of those Double Decker buses that goes around Dublin where you can go hop on and off.   On Wednesday I found a tour company and want to go see Newgrange and Hill of Tara.    

I personally have never been to Europe, but since I am coming from San Francisco and will be traveling since Monday morning everyone says not to go to sleep on Tuesday even for a short nap, so I can adjust to the time change.  This is why I figured the bus tour would be good for Tuesday.  Also the hotel has a show a night which could be good. 

I really can't wait.  This trip is one of those 'bucket list' items for me. 

I am also arriving on Tues. coming from Dallas to Washington DC to Dublin on United, and I am also staying at Arlington Hotel Templebar.  I am not sure what I want to see first.  I haven't had the time to look at all the possibilities. Maybe we can find each other and go exploring.

I already booked my flight through United, and even the hotel at Arlington Templebar Hotel in Dublin. I have been researching things to do and am thinking of doing a tour of Newgrange and Hill of Tara on Wednesday.

Did you book your flight through American Airlines? I haven't booked our flights yet but am hoping to do that today.We are looking to arrive Monday morning rom SFO. We found a little affordable B&B (2 rooms) thinking we could really get a more local experience. I could ask our innkeepers for a recommendation, if you'd like.

Totally understand. When I saw the posting about what you are celebrating, the first thing that came to mind was being able to get awy from work for two weeks,

I am on the flight from through Newark, leaving Edinburgh at 12:05pm.  Although it would be nice to spend time in Edinburgh, I only get so much time off work and I am also doing Punta Cana 1st week in May.

I hate when work gets in the way of my Olivia fun.  LOL

We looked at that but decided the long flight that left in the afternoon would be better because we might be able to sleep. We go home through Newark from Edinburgh.

 

I am leaving on Monday at 7am (urgh!) SFO to Newark.  Then Newark to Dublin arriving at like 7am in Dublin.

We also arrive on Tuesday but are doing the pre-trip. Perhaps we will see you at SFO or on the plane. We leave Monday afternoon on the non-stop to LOndon and then go to Dublinb around 8:30 on Tuesday morning.

 

So I am arriving on Tuesday July 16th.  I can't really afford to do the pre-vacation stretchers that Olivia is offering.

Wondering where others might be staying?  Maybe we can connect up and explore Dublin.
