I asked Olivia about dining arrangements because I was concerned that all of the meals are buffet style and my wife and I like a sit down/get waited on style dinner. It sounds "buffet" is pretty much the order of the day. Here's Olivia's response:
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered in
both of the resort’s restaurants. The Bay Terrace has an open-air garden
setting, and ALL meals are buffet-style. The oceanfront Canoe House
restaurant offers breathtaking views of the crystal blue Pacific. Chef de
Cuisine Allen Hess has developed a Hawaiian plantation-style menu focusing on
island fresh sustainable ingredients. Breakfast and lunch are buffet-style, but
dinner here includes table service and is by reservation only. You can make
reservations upon arrival at the resort. You will be provided with a full listing of the nightly
menus in order to choose when you want to dine prior to making reservations.
Just my opinion but for the money and fact that we're in romantic Hawaii, it would've been nice to have table service for dinner at the Bay Terrace too.
