This from Holland America.. short answer in no laundry on this ship.Sad

'For your comfort and convenience we offer full laundry and dry cleaning service on each ship in the Holland America Line fleet. In your stateroom you will find laundry bags and price lists conveniently located in your closet.

Onboard self-service launderettes consisting of washers, dryers, irons and ironing boards are available on the ms Amsterdam, Maasdam, Prinsendam, Rotterdam, Ryndam, Statendam, Veendam, Volendam and Zaandam. There is a charge for the use of the self-service launderettes and it is coin operated. Iron and ironing boards are provided at no cost.

Please note: For safety reasons, we ask you to refrain from ironing clothes in your stateroom.'

From what I've heard, this ship doesn't have a self serve laundry....think sleddog said this quite awhile ago. Bummer as we do normally use a ship  laundry for ironing.  Sad

No irons allowed in rooms....There may be a couple down with the washer/dryer but we just send our's out to be pressed on the ship.

Same days service if you get them in early enough. Although you can have a steam handheld presser in your room if that works for you....It also works to hang your wrinkled clothes in the bathroom and turn the hot water on in the shower for about 15 minutes and then let them steam dry....I do have a lot of tricks up my sleeve...lol

On my cruise with HAL in 2010 there was a room where you could wash clothes and iron as well. It was wonderful to have that. It will be there again. Just call and ask where it is when you get to your room.

I don't know if irons are available.  We always bring a travel iron with us on cruises.

does anyone know if irons are available in the room?  If not in room can you get one to use?

So looking forward to the trip!  My partner and I are from CT.  Anyone else from the area?
