If you are looking for comfortable/casual, we got vintage rock tshirts like pink floyd and got some knee high socks from pridesocks.com.  you can normally find "vintage" tshirts representative of the 70s at kohls, target and jc penny's. - just an idea

My understanding is that you are NOT required to dress to attend any function.  The motto for these trips is to FEEL FREE!!! Oh and to have a wonderful time....as I'm sure you will!!!

We're veterans of the '70's - here's some of what we remember:
It was a time where lesbians could pick & choose among hippie, disco, punk and ethnic
Shirts - workshirts, t- shirts (muscle, short & long sleeved), shirts with artist's or very full sleeves, dress-up included Indian cotton with little mirrors sewn in and halter tops
Layer with: vests (crocheted, cotton or leather) preferably with lots of fringe, denim jackets or leather with chains, safety-pins or studs
Pants: jeans (straight legged, boot cut, flared & bell bottom), corduroys. Hip-huggers. Bleached or embroidered. Thick leather belts were popular
Headware: leather headbands; scarfs- headbands, small kerchiefs, turbans; poor-boy news-boy, baseball hats & fedoras, crocheted or knit berets,
Shoes: sneakers, sandals, platforms, clogs and Earth shoes. Boots, either Frye or furry
Jewelry :  circle loops or long earrings, labyrs, double women's signs, leather bracelets or necklaces with Moroccan beads, sailor knot bracelets

We'll be wearing some of our best lesbian-feminist vintage attire. Looking forward to everyone's  remains of the day!

Hi JP & KATIE,

We found some really great stuff, at a moderate price, at Zurcher's - a party supply store near our house. You might want to check it out if they have one near you.

If you have ever watched "That 70s show" they wear clothing from the time period.  The show actually housed 70s clothing from the time period in a large warehouse, and would wear it on the show.

Did you look at thrift stores?  That is where we found ours. We found bell bottom corduroys and tops with clogs.  I did find some dresses but decided because I am cold blooded that slacks would be fine in the evening for me.

We are doing 70's hippie.  Found some tie dye shirts on line.  Amazon had a few things.
