I went on the Western Cruise, there is no dress code.  I will say though that my partner and I did not bring dress up clothes for formal night and felt really awkward when we were surrounded by some beautiful dressed in black and white dresses, and tuxes.  We also didn't understand crazy hat night, so didn't bring a hat.  On the ship there was a formal restaurant, we did call to make reservations.  We were told jeans were not allowed and could not dine at that restaurant.  Because of our experience we are more prepared for the 40th cruise.

No clothing is also optional. I am remembering some pool games.

gingrcat...Olivia's motto is "feel free"...which is one of the things that makes travel with them so special!
Basically...there are "suggested" theme nights & a formal night...some dress up...some don't...just be comfortable with who you are

           Very exciting way to travel, I am not sure I would travel any other way!  Welcome to the group!  When I did the Western Caribbean Cruise last Feb there were theme nights where you can wear a costume or what not.  One of which was a formal night!   After talking to some other Olivian friends, I am convinced there is at least one formal night.  We also booked reservations at the fancy restaurant that night.  It was fun to be dressed up and have a romantic dinner.  They did a black and white dance on the lido deck later that evening and did tons of pictures!

              As far as the dress code, it seemed to be leniant but I didnt see anything that a dress code would have been required to come into play.  Just a boat full fun loving lesbians, meeting friends that you will run into over and over again!

Enjoy your first trip, it probably wont be your last!

This is my first Olivia trip, and I am so excited -- even more excited after reading some of the posts here.  Does anyone know if a dress code exists any place on the ship?  I was thinking about some of the special restaurants in particular.  Are there any "dressy" evenings or events?
