Yes, indeed, close enough. I lived all over NoVa back in the late 60s, then moved to Va Beach for 17 years and now retired in this area. Did you do any particular type horseback riding while in Staunton, such a hunt club riding or endurance riding? It really is a beautiful area and only 1.5 to 2 hrs from most anything you want to do. However, we don't have an Olive Garden closer than 1.5 hrs in all directions.

Is Washington DC close enuff?   And I used to live in Arlington, VA. :))

I was in Staunton just last month for a horse ride. )  Beautiful area.
