Depends on special needs meeting, which we need to go to. Let's assume that we'll be there unless it overlaps with special needs meeting- and then perhaps it can be changed in response to that meeting? Looking forward to seeing all of the other women with GPSrs in hand. Lynn just today downloaded the updated queries for all of our stops.

Hi,

was thinking maybe we can all get together right after the lifeboat drill at 4:15 up on the Observation deck at the Cabana Club?

Not sure what else happens after that...what do u think?

Any other suggestions?

Ok, checking in as new geocachers (since last month).

Total caches found = 2 (nice) Geeked

Total caches not found = 1 (too complicated for us) Huh?ConfusedConfused

We might be very busy at Half Moon Cay (relaxing on beach) ParadiseCool but we'll have to do at least one cache.

Since there are a lot of folks at different caching levels, I thought I'd tell you about another tools for finding caches...

http://www.wnag.net/airports/

This is a link for a query for airports.

Click on the link, put in the airport you will be at and it will generate a query.

Ft Lauderdale has a bunch of caches nearby, including a TB hotel.

 Have fun!!

We're coming in late Saturday, so not going to the party (we think), just hanging out in lobby of Embassy Suites watching the lesbians come and go! Trackable name tag, ha ha! Lynn found the event cache, has made queries for all three islands that we're stopping at, we're trying to figure out how to cache Curacao sanely (there are some amazing earth caches further up the island, but hiking up a mountain is not really my idea of how to relax! Difficulty Five caches, oy veh!)

Speaking of Difficulty Five caches, there's one of those, a multi, whose first step is on a wreck in the harbor that requires diving gear. Is anyone among the cachers a diver as well? If so maybe we can cooperate to make that multi happen. We don't usually do multis, and this one is clearly outside of our capacities! Lynn looked at the photos on geocaching.com, and it was obviously not something that folks with only snorkel gear could get to.

Thank you so much for you input :)

i will move to 9:30 and we can hang out until the folks that we know want to play make it to mtg place.

maybe everyone coming can watchlist and I will try and send msgs thru Olivia friend list as needed.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and swapping stories and adventures.

do you have any input on getting together the night before?

i was hoping to see the Patriots and Broncos play in AFC championship game...

we are attending the Bon voyage party also...I will try and wear trackable name tag to that?

Since this is a tender port, which means that we have to get on tenders to get to the beach, a time of 9:30 or 10:00 might work a little better. People with early excursions and people in the Superior and Penthouse Suites have first go at the tenders, which means the rest of us will get on as we can. I think it's marvelous that you've set up this event, so pick times that make sense for you, keeping in mind that we are not simply walking off the ship here.

Another thing to consider re timing: The ship arrives there at 8:00am and they normally make sure all of the tours are taken ashore before they do open disembarlation......looks like 8:30 is a bit early based on that.
