I like the way you think. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Something I realize that I am thankful for - being in close proximity to stores and good restaurants. Teresa and I just came back from a short vacation to Cadiz, KY near Land Between the Lakes. Beautiful area.....but it is very isolated. I always say I want a vacation to do nothing - I will never say that again. It rained the whole time we were there so we couldn't even go hiking. We do want to go back but in season - which is spring and summer. It's probably very beautiful in the fall also but things shut down after the season and there is really NOTHING to do. I am not good at doing nothing for days even as much as I love reading. It is a 30 minute drive to anything that resembles a city (big town). I know some of you will say, "Oh I love quaint little towns." Me too when you can get out and walk around but even then - many of the stores and restaurants close after Labor Day. Maybe if we hadn't had so much rain....but as much as I hate the over development that seems to be happening in my town I will always be grateful that Target and Kmart and Walmart are close by. Maybe a weekend of doing nothing....just 2 days - tops. Maybe...At least it was only an hour and a half car ride away.
