Duh...google it!  Thanks for the Salmon House link.  Only 3 miles from hotel, reservations are required and made, SOOO looking forward to that too.  Nothing like hitting a restaurant recommended by a Chef!

We met Canada's Famous Chef Geraldine Randlesome last year at Disney Epcot's Food and Wine Festival.  Asked her to recommend a restaurant in Vancouver.  She said "The Salmon House" in the mountains.  Can anyone add to that?  Proximity to the port, etc.?  Thanks.

Thanks for the info, Heather. We tried poutine for the first time on Vancouver Island with Susan & Laureen - not too bad actually, it wasn't the awful mess that I was imagining from all the descriptions.

We discovered a Japadog van across the street from our apartment in Vancouver tonight, so will now have to try that. And we love Thai, so will keep a look out for the one you mentioned.

H and G   thanks for the list,  there some here I haven't tried  Some of my favorites that you have named are  are Tanpopo, best sushi, IMO and they have an all you can eat as well for both lunch and supper.  The Banana leaf has expanded and now has restaurants on Davie about a block from Celebrities, and a new location down by the park on Robson, very good Malaysian food I love it!! Awesome platter for two.  Rain city grill is very good, local and organic food higher end but excellent food and service   I need to try some of the ones you mentioned
