Why always the weather Debbie Downers? Why not wish for great weather and just be prepared for whatever.

I just spoke to a friend who has been in Alaska for 6 weeks and he said it was the coldest and wettest August on record, so pack your sweaters and raincoats along with your swimsuit! I live in northern Vermont, so whatever! I'll still be wearing my sandals.

We never have been to Alaska before so can anyone help us out as to what kind of weather we are looking at in Juneau,Skagway and Ketchikan.. My better half wants to pack the house. Thanks
