Yes, Tuesday night was devastating for Colorado Springs residents. The wind shifted and came shooting down the mountain at 65 mph engulfing homes in its wake. We watched it all unfold on live TV. No number yet as to how many homes were destroyed as the fires there are still burning. Incident Commander Ron is doing an amazing job. He stated that he has never seen a fire act the way this one is as it continues to move in multiple directions making it even more difficult to fight. Just had a report that there are fires now burning in another residential area, though this is unconfirmed. This is not the only fire currently burning in our state. We have fires in the north, south and west. None yet east (knock on wood). We pray for the safety of the residents of Colorado Springs, Poudre Valley, Durango, Boulder and all other fire areas, and the brave men and women who are responding. I'm not advertising any particular program, but the Red Cross would be an obvious one for monetary donations if anyone is so inclined.
