A couple of days before we get back to Vancouver, they will ask you on the ship what are your travel plans after disembarkation and prioritize thosewomen who have early travel plans. On the last couple of trips, it seems like most folks have been off the ship by around 9:30, as they are turning the boat around quickly for the next passengers so an early disembarkation could easily be 8:30.
I know from experience that you need to be at the Vancouver Airport 1 1/2 hours ahead of leaving as it is a big airport and you need to clear US customs prior to boarding the plane. If you don't have a lot of luggage, the "Skytrain" leaves for the airport ever 5 - 10 minutes on a Sunday and it is about a 20 minute trip from the cruiseship terminal (Waterfront Station) to the Airport. On leaving the ship, you will have to clear Canadian customs, haul yourself and your luggage to the Skytrain station (only about a 5 minute walk) and then when you get to the airport the station is in the International Terminal, so only 5 minute walk to the check-in counter.................That is assuming that you have no mobility issues.
So it is tight, but I really thing doable. JMHO
