I'm in for sharing! A mini bus sounds good. I too am trying to pack light but by the time Sept. gets here who knows. Does anyone know what the weather is like in Alaska at that time of year? Knowing that might help in the packing department.

There are a couple of senior singles in our group staying at the YWCA , they are sharing a room but looking forward to meeting all the other solos.I promised them there will be many on the cruise!
Transport to the ship...Marcia.. Looks like there are enough of us staying at the YWCA that we may be able to get a mini bus to the ship, maybe better than the train if we have a lot of luggage. Trying hard not to have a lot of luggage but !
Just be aware that after you exit the Waterfront SkyTrain Station...you have to walk a block or two to where you can drop off your luggage...for those who have extra luggage.
Thank you, thank you. I am booked at the Y. Look forward to meeting all.
Joan - the YWCA is much cheaper than the host hotel and there are quite a few ladies already staying there also! Check them out and see if it is in your price range! They are on the skytrain route which can take us to the ship the next morning also!

I haven't booked a hotel/motel yet. Just finished getting plane tickets. Ouch. But I plan on staying out by the airport and getting to the ship as soon as possible.
