I agree with Jana.......as a person who lives part time in both countries ( dual citizen, American & Canadian ) I have never heard of anyone being denied entry into Canada for a conviction in the USA. Of course, I'm sure it HAS happened depending on the crime??? But for the most part, Canada allows Americans entry, and for something as simple as a one week cruise....I really wouldn't worry. On the other hand.....Canadians who have convictions are FREQUENTLY denied entry into the USA, and I have known several. On occasion, US customs will ask Canadians entering the USA, if they have ever been convicted of a crime. When they answer yes, they have to park their car and they are sent inside and then depending on their issue, sometimes they are sent back into Canada & told they cannot return unless they receive a pardon for their crime. I've been traveling between the US and Canada for more then 1/2 my life and I've heard many sad stories......
