Hey Malinda, I have managed to book the night at the HI Express and will land around 9.10pm, have to ring re shuttle on landing but may want you to remind hotel on the day. Anyway its all done now along with the excursions, part way through my on line booking.....be glad when the run up stuff is all done and then all i got to do is look forward to arriving. Anyway let me know if your back on your email or the laptop that collapsed and I will keep in touch so you know where I am in getting there Big Smile

As long as I can shop somewhere on route either before or after checking in on ship as the main mall isnt too far from Canada Place so might take a walk off shore once the baggage etc is on board.

So look forward to seeing you and Connie again from the good old WCC. You can show me all the others aboard from that trip if I've missed them going. Can't wait to see the photos and have more dance lessons on this cruise, still have two left feet. Crying

Can't wait to see the whales and the Northern lights, you must let me know what excursions your on, we might have done same ones, although I fancied the crab feast, which took slight preference over the zip line trip. I will zip line one day.

Hello Malinda, if they pick me up I will book in there and catch the ride into port and shops with you all in the morning. Let you know how I go, ringing them from here will be expensive, but be nice to see you there and have company to the ship. Not long now :0) Jackie

Hi Jackie...I can understand about the roaming costs!   The Holiday Inn Express does pick up from the airport to the hotel at no charge...also free breakfast Sunday morning...and we can get transportation to the Port for  $14 each Sunday morning.  I think the Sky Train (which from my understanding can get you to all the important places you might want to go) is easily accessible from the hotel...if not, I'm sure we'll be able to find someone who can get us to some stores to do some shopping...I need to get champagne and wine...lol!  My Stateroom # is 2523 Main Deck.   We'll chat soon!    Malinda

Hey Malinda, not sure I'm going to roam costs a fortune, I think I have your stateroom from here, if your planning something for the Sunday morning before boarding I will catch up with you. The holiday express not sure from my blackberry if it picks up from airport to hotel but seems to drop you off, when I get a spare moment will do some checking. Unless you know it does. Wanted to be near the shopping centre near port, get some bits and bobs if I travelled light. Haven't made my mind up yet, but wanted to get some jeans, much prefer the American/Canadian to ours. We will chat before holiday due so keep u posted...lol Jackie

I never thought of printing the list but what a great idea.  I guess one never knows when your luggage will get "misplaced" LOL.  Our friends went to Greece on Olivia and it took several days for their luggage to catch up with them, so it's a great idea as well to pack 1 or 2 changes of clothes and essentials in that carry on.  I suspect we are all fairly seasoned travelers, but it never hurts to get a friendly reminder !

Thanks for the list, Sleddog! I am a horrible last minute packer and it drives my girlfriend crazy.  Also, I suggest if you follow a list for packing you should keep that list with you (not in your suitcases) as it is helpful if (God forbid) your luggage is lost. I lost my luggage in 2004 on Southwest Airlines and the process of seeking reimbursement is a nightmare as they expect you to provide them with a detailed list of all your lost items and on top of that receipts! Having my list with specific items made the bad experience a bit better.

Kath...thanks for sharing your story about your friend, Sherry.   So sorry for your loss...but glad that you had a friend like Sherry!   Thank you for sharing her story and we'll, hopefully, be able to share the magnificent Aurora Borealis and the beauty of eagles gliding through the sky with you...and her!

Hoping we can see both Northern Lights and eagles Kath.  Then, you'd know she sent them ! What a great day that will be to celebrate your friends life.

Hi Jackie...keep in touch and let me know where you decide to stay and perhaps we can get together for dinner or drinks after you get settled in Saturday evening.   Counting down the days till we leave for Vancouver...by my count we're down to 61!!

Hi All

Will I need to pack dresses - do we have any formal dinners on our cruise?
