Thanks for the info!  The artist has to be mainstream, we typically don't feature gospel performers.  Have you checked out the Serafemme Women's Music Festival?  That might be a great venue for her.

I have some other things she might be interested in.  Keep in touch and I will check out her website.  There are tons of black lesbian events across the country and we need that message now more than ever.

You made me laugh.  You know Queen Latifah is not coming on these trips.  Hopefully one day she will "Feel Free" to be herself.  The powers at Olivia have spoken with her and she is not ready.

 Tracy Chapman has also been contacted and I think she wants wayyy to much money for where she is currently in her career.  Unfortunately I find that a lot of "our" artists try to ask for unreasonable sums of money and that is so sad.  Trust me, I have worked very, very hard to bring artists that appeal to diverse audiences and Olivia is 100% behind these efforts. 

I will look into Patti (who is also expensive!!!) and maybe try Tracy again.  Thanks for your suggestions.
