My name is Terri (t-bear) and I'm from Michigan, and I am booked on the Jan. cruise.  I must say I'm so excited. This will be my second cruise with Olivia. I had so much fun on my first trip, I had to book again. I will be looking forward to meeting new friends and reconnecting with old ones.

I just joined the website a couple of days ago.  I have always wanted to go on a cruise but could never get anyone to go with me.  So I finally said that I would go by myself if I had to and that I would love to find a cruise line that catered to lesbians. Well I finally found it and I am so excited.  I would love more information about the upcoming cruise in January and future events. I am looking to meet and connect with new friends all over.

Thanks for creating this forum.  I didn't know about it until having lunch yesterday with a friend that I just recently met on an Olivia Cruise(Mex. Riv. Oct 07). I currently don't have plans to be on the Jan. cruise.  I wil be on a cruise some time in 08.  I'm really looking forward in getting to know and hopefully met some of you. The Mex. Riv. cruise was my first cruise ever. The one word that come to mind is Wow!!!! What a wonderful experience.  If I could redo it I would only change 2 things. The first would be to have experienced it with a partner(went solo) and this forum.

SharleyRose-If you directed that suggestion for a cocktail to me-IM IN!  LOL.  I can't wait for the trip and to see my Sistas.  Its going to be too much fun and I have some cool surprises planned for you guys.

 To the question about photos-I know a lot of people are hesitant to put themselves out there on the web.  There could be job related reasons, or simply a shyness.  My happy face is right there on the Olivia website and on LOGO (from the commercial we did) so I guess its way too late for me to worry about my bosses seeing my face on a lesbian website.  lol.

I joined the Olivia Network back in July of 2006 and it's good to see the dialogue increasing.  I hope to get to know many of you and hope to go on an Olivia trip next year.

Aww thats too bad that you booked the other Caribbean trip!  Im sure it will be awesome though.  You cant go wrong with Olivia, no matter which trip you do.  We have a nice group of African American women booked on the Sistas trip in January (Caribbean Dreams) plus we will have some special programming (music, events, etc) AND discounts for the Sistas booking that cruise through the group.

 Yall help me spread the word and make this trip even more exciting.  I just got back from Alaska and Im ready to get back on the boat right now!  LOL 

Also, to the person who asked about travelling solo-dont even worry about that.  I did my last 2 trips solo and had a blast.  They have a special solos program so you will probably be married by the time you get off the boat.

I'm glad to see Sistahs on this Forum. I would love to go on an Olivia cruise next year for my 40th birthday, but I'll feel out of place going alone. Has anyone traveled single on Olivia?

CC & Lee here, we just came back from the Caribbean vacarion at the end of March. We had a great time and made long lasting friendships. We were also one of the couples that paticipated as one of the Oldywed couples on the Olivia Oldywed/ Newlywed game and we had so much fun. We've been together for 14 years and have an 11 year old daughter. We live in Minnesota near Minneapolis (yes there are people of color in Minnesota : ) We are really excited about getting to know other couples who enjoy taking time to relax in a world all of our own. Unfortunately, we didn't know about this group when we booked our vacation for next year. We are going on the same ship, same time next year for the Caribbean Treasures cruise in 2008. A few of the women we cruised with this year will also go on that one.

I just joined the group and I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you and going on a cruise with you soon. A friend of mine is always talking about Olivia cruises, I've been on cruises but not an Olivia cruise. I  have travelled the caribbean, Mexico and Central America and I love it:) Chat soon, Rozy
