this has already been said, but i'll repeat it again:

call your credit cards companies and bank and let them know what countries you will be traveling to and also your pin will need to be only 4 numbers or it may not work.

Hey ladies... are you all packed yet? We leave this week, and are so excited we can't stand it! There are a few things that we heard, that we thought we'd pass on...

Not sure if it was posted already, but if you use your US or Canadian issued bank card in an overseas ATM, there is probably a charge... our bank charges $5 per transaction... (and don't forget the 3% conversion fee)

Appearently there are some unsavory rug merchants in Istanbul... so be very leery of offers of cups of tea while you chat with the rug merchant. We have been warned about reports of some merchents "doctoring up" tea in order to help potential customers part with more of their cash.

So... anywho, can't wait to see you all!
