Wow...the comments rage on…so far there are 5 pages of comments…check them out if you haven’t already…some have gotten pretty darn funny!

1 is in favor of Sweet

John Polly - the editor of TripOutGayTravel.com (page 4) tries to explain why a company with years of travel experience (Olivia) is not on the ballot.  And why one who has not even taken their first cruise yet - is on the ballot.  Here's his reason why his group chose what they did "they collectively take hundreds of trips…they know their stuff…let them use their expertise in selecting the nominees"  Basically his answer is no answer!

Also, here's something someone wrote on the "academy of esteemed and seasoned travel writers" aka "judges" link this morning

 

"Seems that one biased link to why Sweet is on the list and not Olivia is Aefa Mulholland.
From the article she wrote about them:
“My friend Maggie and I are getting increasingly excited about the prospect of joining 1900 other women on the first ever Sweet cruise….”
Yeah, lets all vote for something that hasn’t even happened yet. Back to the Future!"

This is so obvious that one of these judges at the very least was paid off!!   Again, how can anyone judge a company that has not taken a trip yet?  I have the utmost respect for all gay travel but lets face it, if you havent traveled yet then this whole idea of voting appears to be bogus.  I think Judy D. should get involved with this company and find out how they missed her!!!  She is the pioneer!!  My curiosity is peeked as to why this is allowed to happen!  I think I am going to book another Olivia trip.........hmmmm which one should I pick!?Wink

Some of them seem to have high credentials but they really "missed the boat" on this one!!!

Esteemed & seasoned travel writers indeed! How have they managed to miss the fact that in addition to offering the best Lesbian vacation experience, Olivia also travel to many more varied destinations than most others - have to say most since I, personally haven't researched that in any detail - also the writeup tends to lean heavily on destinations.
