Too funny Bunny. 

Everyone will need to just stay away from digging up unearthed Maya tombs.  Even though I'm kind of a health policy wonk by day, the most interesting part of the book wasn't the outbreak...it was learing the Maya approach to science and medicine.  The book reminded me of a Dan Brown book.

Anybody have a good book recommendation?  I've heard that the "Forest of the Kings" was a good read about the Maya. 

Haha!  Your book recommendation seems to smack a bit too close to teh Swine Flu eruption in Mexico last Spring!  ugh!

Of course I meant "antidote."  Maybe they could find an antecdote too, but the book is more adventurous than funny.

Now what I wish I could find was a good lesbian tale set in the Western Caribbean...

Anybody have a good Western Caribbean themed book recommendation?

I just finished a really good read -- "The Mayan Glyph" by Larry Baxter.  It's a fast paced book that starts when a group of college students from Austin on an archaelogical dig happen upon a lethal virus in a Mayan tomb.  The book jumps between Austin in full CDC epidemic/quarantine mode to the 9th Century Maya and includes a suspenseful quest to decode Mayan glyphs that may contain an antecdote.
