I believe it has a lot to do with the situation not just gender.  I believe when it's necessary everyone have the ability to use both sides but some may have more of a brain cramp trying to use it!

I tend to be in the left side of my brain for most of the day as I am at work and it requires the use of the left assets, so to speak.  I am however, highly right brained in the social side of my life, although I don't consider myself extremely creative as in art, I am creative in my point of views, I am a story teller and I know there is a higher cause... with regards to right and left brains and men and women, it depends.  In athletics, highly competitive people tend to be more left brained whether women or men... in the performing arts, you will find these members to be more right brained whether men or women...

I have to agree with OT, I know shocker... don't faint SN, but I think it depends upon the individual.  I do however think that agressive women will be more left brained and more creative men will be more right brained, whether straight, gay, bi or whatever... so with regards to the GLBTQ community... no difference than JQ public.

OK, I would say that in the past, I've definitely have hung with the left side but now that I'm more in-tuned to my inner self, as opposed to just my brain, I, without mental effort, eased gracefully and gratefully to my right.  However, I still stand on logic and common sense.

Just to reiterated the second part of the question...Studies have shown that most men are (left) and most women are (right) but do you think that analogy fit into the GLBTQ community?

I'm interested in this because since it is believed that GLBTQ's brains are wired differently, how would the left and right analogy fit?

This morning I had one of those "AH HA" moments while listening to a show explaining the difference in people's thinking because of the side of the brain usage that comes naturally...I was wondering if you are in-tuned to which side you hang out on?

LEFT  = logical, practical, technical, responsible, thinking about past as well as future.

RIGHT= Artsy, Creative, Story Oriented, empathetic, Sensing there's a higher cause     then self.
