update: she is trying to get our business back and has become nice now that we have said we'll take our business elsewhere "so as not to cause inconveniences"...At least she did admit that her behavior was "out of line"....I wished she'd realized that before she lost so much $$ rathen than making an effort now that it's too late...I guess there was just an assumption that we would stay there no matter what, or no matter how we were spoken to.

I have received lots of emails saying she was rude to people on the phone when they called with questions or to make the reservations and, thus far, we have a 100% favor rate that we are switching lodging.

Thanks, team! At least it wasn't just me!

Shannon has some info she is putting together on a few other places.that we'll be able to "book out" completely with our group...hang tight and we'll get more info soon.

looks like shannon found a better place to book up! better location, free party each night for us with complimentary unending snacks and complimentary beer and  wine, free chef prepared made to order breakfast each morning with unending mimosas and bloody marys, nicer rooms, huge deck, better location right at Duval and gay area....

everything happens for a REASON!

I didn't go into all Pearls said, but one of the big things was the room rates changing last minute...it was like pulling teeth to get a big group rate in the first place and we put in 3 emails and 3 phone calls just to get that...then the negative emails....meanwhile all the other hotels asking what MORE they could do for us...then everyone started calling to make reservations and they wouldnt take them and said to call back in a few days...

we gotta go where they want us

I think we will be switching hotels. I got a rather rude letter from Lorraine and it seems we are not doing her a favor by filling her hotel during slow season.

I am not going to post anymore on here because someone also contacted her saying we are going to fill all the rooms rather than just have one or two people which was far from the truth. Email me or write me if you want info on where we will book...but every other hotel in Key West is clamoring for our business and has some even greater discounts and that includes gay ones on the beach...we just wanted to support Pearls Rainbow as they are all lesbian and we liked many things about it...but I got a surprising response once people wanted to book a few rooms from her..

so ladies...we will lodge elsewhere so that we do not inconvenience this hotel by filling it up with successful women and giving her 4 grand in deposits upfront.
