Generally the host hotel is a hotel where Olivia negotiates a discount for folks flying into a departure city (for a cruise) and in earlier days they used to host a pre-cruise party.  Since the charters are going out of two different cities and since there are limited seats I don't know if Olivia will have a "host hotel" in Ft. Lauderdale or Miami.  I can't remember what they did last year but I am sure someone at Olivia can answer that.

On this particular trip last year, many ladies booked their own flights to Columbus Isle and got in a day or two early or left a day or two late.  Some connected in Nassau and decided to stay overnight and meet up there on their own.  Others went on and stayed at Columbus Isle.  As I recall, Olivia worked with Club Med to get a special rate for those folks.  That's why I mentioned it as a host hotel.

How can the resort be the host hotel?  The charter doesnt leave til Saturday so you really cant go a day early, unless you dont use the charter flight olivia has booked.

Last year the host hotel was the resort itself.  This is a very small island and I think many of the folks who live there work at the resort or the airport.  So people who had a day or two at the beginning or end of the trip stayed at the resort or went to Nassau.

My friend and I will be coming in a day early too.  Maybe some of us can get together for dinner or drinks.  I cant wait for October!!

Can anyone tell us if Olivia has a host hotel for those of us coming in early for this trip? We would like to stay there if there is one. I know they have them for the cruises but wasn't sure about the resort trips!!!
