There is a host hotel in Ft Lauderdale. It is the Embassy Suites. If you look under the Vacation Stretchers tab on the Columbus Isle site, at the very bottom of the page it gives you the link to use to book the hotel at the Olivia price. We are staying there and look forward to meeting new friends. Hope to see you there!!!!!

Hello Ladies of Olivia,

Hi JoJo too.  I am in Ixtapa right this very second and came here to check out the topics for Columbus Isles and I have to say that I love it when ladies can work it all out and we all remain friends.  In the end this has been a difficult year, but if there is a way I say do it because I believe that Ixtapa and Columbus Isles are the two most beautiful places to enjoy some major R&R.  Columbus Isle has the MOST beautiful beach and the sand is so white.  The staff was so kind and so much fun.  I remember last year asking at least 5-10 of the staff to come and deace with us because you could see their bodies moving to the music and when you asked them to dance, they had a ball.  I always add staff into my equation for travel and they are awesome.  The Charter flight was even fun too.  The onboard staff and the Captain had a ball with starting out with "Welcome Ladies and Ladies!!!!!"  The only time I was upset was when we had to leave.  I hope that you can make the trip and I look forward to getting to know the ladies in the groups, so keep your eyes open and your inbox too, because I feel that making friends in the groups is another equation to the trip.  When you get there, you will already have people that you have talked with and gotten to know.  Well, I have to run and I hope that I see you and if I don't, I feel optimistic that I will meet you someday and continue to meet all the wonderful ladies of Olivia from all over the Globe.

With Peace and Thanks,

Katch CoolParadise

Well, we use to feel that way too but unfortunately the economy has beat the hell out of us....partner was layed off 5 months ago and so far no jobs on the horizon.  So the price is very important....and unfortunately this is probably the case with most people out there, just a reality that Olivia is going to have to face.  Hopefully it wont hurt them like it has alot of travel companies.

I say just do it!!!!!  The charter flight is a straight shot, only about a 45 min. flight.  The charters last year left from both Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami.  the Ft. Lauderdale flight left earlier in the day then the Miami flight did.  I am pretty sure the charters fill up pretty quick.

Hope to see you there

LOL you ladies almost have me sold...you should get commission!  Ok a couple questions for you repeat visitors.  Is the Charter flight through Olivia a straight shot?  From FLL or Miami to the area the resort is?  No stopping in Nassau I hope.  Do the Charter flights fill up fast?  Ok I may have more questions but at this time of day, its all I can think of.

I agree with Peggy - it's worth every penny in airfare....a beautiful resort on Gilligan's Island.....this will be our 3rd trip there with Olivia....

Teresa,

Yes, it is pretty expensive to get to Columbus Isle - but the resort is beautiful and we have the whole beach to ourselves.  It is worth the money for this trip.  Just my opinion of course.

The flights are so dang expensive from here if we book it all together and its like 3 flights, with one of them being overnight in the bahamas which Im not all excited about.  I hate flying and I dont relish 6 take offs.

This would be the most perfect vacation if the flights werent so dang expensive.  Thats our only hesitation, I dont want to pay 700+ a person for airfare.

The last few years it has been 399pp. It is almost better to book your own flight as it is less expensive and their second charter last year got you to the island in the night practically so you lost the whole day. The first time we flew on the charter and the second time we flew independently and it really is a short flight so didn't make any difference to us. I would be very surprised if it is less then the 399 they charged before.

Hi, does anyone know when the information about the charter flight will be available.  We really are waiting for this information, like the price of it before we book this trip.

Thanks,

Teresa
