Hello Everyone,

Due to travel with my company I have been on the road and out of the country and unable to participate in the threads to get to know everyone, so I just wanted to jump in here and get a feel for everyone and let everyone know that I am really looking forward to seeing everyone in a few hours.  Take care and I hope your travels are safe or were safe.  See ya soon and Thanks for Everything!!!!

Yes, the liquids was the one major problem.  But I figured I'd spend the extra bucks for sunscreen when I get there vs. dealing with the hassle of checking (and paying for) a bag.  And we are now experts in getting 8oz of sunscreen into two 4 ounce bottles - still not sure exactly how that worked out.

Wish I was there - hope to catch up to you tonight, but depends on what time we get out of the house.

bonus - You rock!  How did you pack for 16 days  in a carry on?  I can barely close mine, and if I remember - the weight is 50 lbs. right?  I am cutting it really close.  Maybe we will see you in Chicago?   

OK - we are officially so exicited that I'm not thinking of much else.  We did a packing dry-run and determined that we are going to be able to make it with just carry ons - for 16 days!!  We are so proud!!  We'll see what happens as we start to add last minute things to the pile - LOL.  Today's to-do list includes getting sunscreen, bug spray, etc. into those little 3 oz containers.

For those of you that said "don't over pack" - we took your messages to heart.

For all you "over-packers" - once we figure out what we didn't bring but we really need and we can't buy - we'll be offering you cash for the things you decided you didn't really need.  That will help you make room for your souvenirs.

Two days and counting - whoo hoo.

Hey Steph and other Orange Hiller's...  Mads is joining us there, but she doesn't get in until late on Thursday (11PM).  She'd like to join us in the cab to the airport on Friday.

Yes, of course !!!  In my other post. you are part of the "us 5," on the plane after our night all "together" at Orange HIll!!!  Hope to meet you and Jodi and Karin for adult beverages, Friday nite after I get there.  I heard their rum punch is very Festive, if you know what I mean!   I just got confused with Dawn and Sharon getting there a day too early, they said they were slightly confused, too!!!!   

We'll call for a van Friday nite for Saturday morning to get all of us from OH  to airport - Should be pretty easy and not crack of dawn necessary since we are close!!!

  Okay, I tried on all my clothes today and am in the process of narrowing down the choices....trying to keep in mind weight limits of the airlines.....and OMG...trying on shorts today was much better today than several weeks ago when it was still snowing out. I thought we had the dog sitter worked out but today my daughter tells us that her reserve weekend is going to be in Ft.Drum, which means no coming home at night, and now I need to call and try to get a sitter for the first weekend we're gone....

Joyce and I will be joining you on that flight from Nassau to CI on Friday.  Can't wait.  Other than last minute grocery shopping for the dog sitters, and packing, we are all set.  Can't wait. 

It's finally warm here in IL, so we sat outside today at lunch and pretended we could see the ocean from the rooftop we were eating at.  We were really looking across the street at a biker bar. We had a hard time fitting the sound of the Harley's into our pretend beach, and unfortunately we couldn't see the traffic meter cop that gave us a parking ticket!  The good news is the ticket is only for one dollar, so it won't cut into our vacation money.

Next Friday at this time Chris and I will be at the hotel in FLL.........WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oops!!!!   But I KNOW you (Dawn & Sharon ) and maybe just a few others would like to be with us Early Birds on Friday morning?  But at least D & S start vacation on the 29th (more time to pack the shorts and swim suits!)

So,  Correction:  It will be mads from UK (1) and grneyzinmt (?) from Montana (!) who will also be on the Friday morning plane to CI from Nassau!!!   Who else should we be looking for?

Hi! Actually, Dawn & Sharon will be on the Saturday morning flight. Dawn was a little confused when she posted our flight info! We are flying into Nassau on Friday and spending the night there and THEN over to CI on Saturday...We will still see all of you on Sunday at the Beach Bar! CAN'T WAIT!!!
