OMG, no more Atlantic Shores??????   What happened?  Did the whole complex close or just the motel?  I loved the bar out on the pier.  It's all gone?  Say it ain't so.

Julie....I can understand Phyl's p'dness.  I went through the same thing after Teresa had her surgery, she wasn't happy but she was compliant.  We just want her well so we can all get together and play next year.   I am hoping to set up our new computer this weekend so I can get you the pictures from the last cruise and our romp in Murrell's Inlet.  The old one just doesn't have the memory needed to deal with a lot of photos.  It's a slow process even just to upload from the camere and then download to a flash drive.

Okay....they are sending me out to a branch library today so I gotta get moving.  Hope all is well with everyone.

Funny we have also been to Key West 3 times, twice for Womens Week and once for Fantasy Fest (now that was wild)  We have stayed at the Atlantic Shores (no longer there) and the Southernmost Hotel, I have never heard about the Rainbow House..  I will talk more soon but also have to get to work..

Right now she's p'd because she's been told she won't be able to drive for 4-6 weeks!!!

My partner & I live in Hendersonville, TN, just a bit northeast of Nashville.  My family is in Baltimore.  So Teresa and I will fly to Baltimore and the bus trip will start the next day.  My mom is the charter bus trip queen.  She has been all over the US and Canada on bus trips.  I haven't been to New England In ages.  I had friends who lived in New Bedford many, many years ago but we always went in to Boston to do sightseeing whenever I would visit.  I've always had a fondness for New England.  I have a childhood friend who lives in Lowell.  But as I have gotten older.....the south is more my forte, weather wise.  I really enjoy the fall but then with the exception of winter, I enjoy the other seasons too.  The one nice thing about the fall is football. 

Key West is wonderful.  I've been there 3 times, 2 for women's week.  Just a great place to kick back and enjoy life.  Where do you stay when you go there?  I use to stay at Simonton Court but my last time there (again years ago) the owner had died and I was told that the guy's son was homophobic and wasn't going to keep it all women for women's week.  Key West and homophobia?????   Go figure.....but I did check out Alexander's Guest House and that seemed real nice.  The Rainbow House is always full for women's week so I don't even consider that.

Well I hope we can chat more but I probably should get to work.....especially since I didn't get a whole lot done yesterday....just so hard to get back into the swing of things after vacation.

Well you all are going to be in our neck of the woods...  We live about 30 minutes from Lissie Borden's house in New Bedford.  Salem is really great around that time fo year!  And the weather here is very, very nice at that time of year.  Can you tell that I love the fall season.  Taking a bus trip - where are you coming from?  Love Key West!  Have never talked with you but great choices...

Is Evergreen pimping for Olivia?  Sigh....I wish we could do another Olivia trip this year or early next..  We had really been hoping for an Alaskan cruise.  In October Teresa and I are doing a bus trip with my mom up to New England......Halloween kind of trip...Lizzie Borden house, haunted Mystic, Salem, Hawthorne's house.  It will be good to see my family.  In addition to my mom, my older sister and my brother and his wife are going.  But it's not Olivia and most times as much as I love my mom and siblings, I really prefer my Olivia family.

It was a wonderful trip to the Inlet...and we had such gracious hosts.   Teresa is holding off a bit to see how your better half, I mean other half is doing before booking the condo for Key West.  We want to make sure you and Phyl will be able to vacation with the decrepit dykes gang.  So if it would be easier we could get the condo closer.  Is place as important as the company?  Wow deep thoughts for so early in the morning.  Ouch.

This new forum really isn't bad.  It's just knowing where to look for folks.  We kind of scattered from the forum after the cruise.  We are so diverse as a community we have to find our common ground and collect ourselves around that.  I'm sure I'm not saying that the way I mean it.  I need more coffee.   But at least we have this thread to reconnect with each other.  Thank you to whoever started it.  Okay I'm babbling now....I'm going to find coffee and create the illusion that I am working.  Y'all have a good day.

We also will continue to travel with and support Olivia and cannot wait for Laugh Out Loud I in Turks.  As this will be our second Olivia trip this year...we are even more excited, if that is possible !

As Cindy & I lived very close to Massachusetts and my mother has a place in Dennisport Cape Cod, we know how fortunate you have it there. 

I guess that my point in saying how much a loss it is for me that the old forum is no longer available is that most of us do not have all of that available to us on a day to day basis. 

That old forum was our community and provided us that same feeling that you have each day in Massachusetts.  With the exception of short spurts like this current one in this group ...we no longer enjoy that feeling of community to that same extent.

With no offense meant to you for your idea of moving forward I just wanted to let you know how I feel about that loss.  As a person who has a lifelong philosopy of moving forward and trying what is next (not crying over spilt milk so to speak) I will continue to talk with everyone here...but I continue to wish to we still had the old forum

BTW - I still cannot believe you will be at Laugh Out Loud II and we still will not meet !
