Hi Artgirl!

Thanks for the welcome/invite. Just to give you an update on what has transpired from the January 26th Caribbean trip. As you know. I met Paula on-board and we hit it off like duck to water.  I have traveled to Canada to visit her, I've met some of her friends and next week she will be here in Minnesota to visit me and met some of my friends.

We are also going to 2008 Dinah Shore weekend in Palm Springs in April and a number of other travel plans.  We are still so happy and planning our future.  I just want to say that being on Olivia was the best possible thing I could ever do for myself. The freedom, the friendships and the travel experience is MAGNIFICENT!

No, I did not participate in those sessions on board, JoCindy.  Glad you and Evergreen did. I'm sure your input will help them refine the system and site.

Aging...it is what it is, and I enjoy growing older along with my friends.  We laugh a lot and I think that knowing how to laugh and be light-hearted, even in the face of the many challenges of aging, is one key to staying youthful!  Haha!

I just changed my profile photo to one of me as a baby - talk about youthful!

Were you able to get in on the "one on one" sessions on the ship?

Congrats on you anniversary and birthday.  Some are afraid or do not like to age but I just love to have more birthdays.  To me, it just beats that alternative !!

We have been doing our gardening pretty much continuously here in the south.  We do not mind as we love that we have a year round growing season (after being way up north for so much of our lives).. 

No, no more snow but no daffodils either!  Our lawn service came out and did the "early Spring" treatment and crabgrass preventative, etc. this past week though so they must think the daffodils will be coming up soon!  As much as warmer temperatures will be nice, I must admit it brings thoughts of hard lawn and garden work!  I'll settle for the cold but sunny conditions we have today for a bit longer.

Mary and I are fine.  Celebrated our anniversary and her birthday last week.  Glad you're over the computer problems.  Didn't mean to confuse you;  knew you'd posted some before and after the cruise, but apparently I'm not seeing your posts as easily and readily as I did before.  Too many groups and threads to keep up with them all, I suppose.  At any rate, nice to "see" you now!

Enjoy your 'dils!  They are Mary's favorites and she's eager to see them pushing up through our beds soon.

Yes, wasn't that session with the Focus group great? Good to be able to talk about our concerns on a one on one basis. I found it very satisfying so let's hope we see some good enhancements on here soon.

Thanks for your input above and my computer problems of last fall are behind me. 

I am a little confused however, as I was pretty active on the Caribbean Dreams group before and after the trip.

Also I was even active on Connect during the cruise as I was one of the lucky ones who were able to be part of the "Consumer Survey Focus Group" on the ship. (My apologies to James and the IP group as I know that I have the wrong name for this group.  James, it was terrific to see you again!).

Anyway, I spent a wonderful amount of time providing my opinons and taking a "mini survey test" to see how the site works.  What a great "one on one" time that was with the IP staff.   

Hope all is going well with you & Mary.  Do you still have snow up there?  The daffodils are out here !

By the way, JoCindy, it's good to see you posting again!  Are you computer issues behind you?  We've missed your input on this Connect site over recent months...

I thought of you when I saw something on tv recently about Murrell's Inlet artists!

Cheryl, your artwork and your background are fascinating!  What compelled you to move from Ottawa to San Franciso?  And, tell me, did you enjoy making instruments or did it eventually become "just a job"? Love how you combined making instruments with your photography!  

You must have received my quota of "creative genes" in addition to your own and who knows who else's! Haha!  Talented, spirited, interesting woman you are... keep the photos coming!  I've found many here and there on google but not enough to satisfy my desire to see more!

Hey Artgirl. First of all let me tell you that i enjoy reading the things you post because you seem quite amusing.  :) Also your photos are amazing and awesome. 

Well about myself.  I don't know.  I love going out and hanging.  But like to be at home.  I have a major obsession of the gym right now even though if you looked at me in real life you would think that i never actually stepped foot in a gym.. haha..

Anyways.  This group is great. Hope everyone is doing well.
