Thank you so much for your tips and special thanks to Margaret & KC for being so kind as to offer to put us up...It's with some sadness that I have to tell you that I won't be making it to Ixtapa THIS year....There turned out to be a glitch in the babysitting area for Jodis son...BUT.......She is taking me on the western carribean cruise on feb 28th instead...WOOHOO!!!!!  She is a sweetheart,  taking me on the cruise for my birthday....I feel quite spoiled....I look forward to meeting you all on other trips...Thank you again so much...I am so looking forward to this first Olivia trip and many more to come...take care and enjoy your week!!!....Mary

Continental from LGA to Houston to Ixtapa is the way to go if there is room. There is one that leaves at 7:29am (733) on the 23rd, arrives Houston 10:32. Leave Houston on #1610 at 11:28am, arrive Ixtapa (ZIH) at 2:09.

 If you can't get these flights try leaving a day earlier. If you end up having to do a layover somewhere ... it's worth it.

We are traveling from western Mass - flying out of Hartford to Charlotte, Charlotte to Mexico City, Mexico City to Ixtapa.  We are flying out on Friday and taking the extra night at the resort in Ixtapa.  It is a long trip (we leave at 6:30AM and get to Ixtapa at 4:30PM) but I'm sure you could do something similar from NYC.

You can’t book thru them…but it will give you some ideas on which flights to use to get to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo and home again.

If you put in from NYC to ZIH and pick your dates…it will give you all the options for travel to and from The New York City area.

Just play around…these are the schedules and prices directly from the different airline’s booking computers.    

When you find something you like…go to that airlines site and book the flight…or email the itinerary to your travel agent.

Hey, Mary.  We live in Louisiana.  Why don't ya'll get a flight out of NY to Baton Rouge (BTR) on Friday the 22nd?  We'll put ya'll up at our house that night and ya'll can fly out of BTR with us Saturday morning.  We are flying on American (about a 6 hour flight from here).  There are also Delta flights available to Ixtapa.  If you find something that will work let me know and I'll tell you how to get in touch with us.

We're travelling from NH and taking a layover in Houston (both directions).  Nothing direct from Boston ... so probably nothing from NYC, either.  Take the layover and COME JOIN US!!!
