Hey from the UK!

Well I am not sure if this helps or not, try checking out the transat website (www.transat.com or .ca). For cheap flights from UK to North America. Once in the US or Canada try american airlines (they have an Olivia discount - you may have to drop the first A off the given code to get it to work online...). or check other carriers. I am from Canada, but right after Ixtapa I am heading to the UK to visit family, it would be great to meet in Mexico! Also, flying through Dallas Fort Worth, Texas on AA can get you to Ixtapa at 1:00 in the afternoon (more time in the sun!). It will probably be cheaper to book portions of your travel seperately. It ends up being cheaper but can get you in trouble if you miss connections so I would plan a LOT of time between flights especially where you need to clear international customs. Hope it helps!

If you want to fly to LAX then book an Alaska Flight from LAX to ZIH which is the Ixtapa airport.  Some of the quickest, cheapest, flights....they have a sale going on right now.  There is a flight that arrives Ixtapa at 4:10pm on Saturday from LAX.

anyone found good flights?

Hi everyone,

My friend and I are thinking of coming but we're having trouble finding reasonably priced and direct scheduled flights so that's putting us off a little.  We're both from the UK and are planning to connect in the US but we haven't been able to find flights from the US to Ixtapa through our (UK based) travel websites.  Does anyone have advice about charter flights we could get?  I'd ideally like to fly in and out of California (or another state in the south west) because I'd be going there for a couple of months afterwards but my friend could connect in any city so please let us know if you found good deals or if you could just give us a heads up on charters, good websites to use etc!

Thanks very much!

Nic
