Hey vacationlover,

In re to your question, it is everything you listed and more.  I would say the staff was incredible and they seem to really have a good time with us all and didn't want us to leave....REALLY.  Hey Sled,  I replied in real mail, but usual...LOL.  Kinda busy right now, but looking forward to seeing you both again REAL SOON !!!!!!

Always,

I'm guessing it's like how they put the beds together on the ships…we never notice!

And I hope your weighing scale tips toward doing Ixtapa again!!

Ok, I'm so dreading the coming winter I'm heavily weighting the idea of Xtapa AGAIN this year.  AJ & I are tettering on the edge of a decision...........Patty Sue it would be great to see you and Lisa again!  I have a question for anyone last year who booked a standard room:  How were the beds?  I've heard that all standard rooms are equipped with 2 twins beds those move together for couples to create a king.  Anyone have an opinion on the comfort of this?  Did ya feel like you might fall right through the middle!  Yikes, that's the kind of excitement I don't need in bed!  Wink

We are booked again for Ixtapa, 2010!  This time we are bringing even more friends.  We have been on three other land based Olivia vacations and this one was by far, the best.  What made it so?  The guests seemed a lot more friendly and interested in mingling.  The Club Med staff was amazing.  They couldn't have been more welcoming, attentive and professional.  They mixed with the guests without becoming intrusive.  There were fun things to do every day and every night!  On all the past Olivia trips we have felt so comfortable and the atmosphere was excellent!  However, this one was even better due to both the Club Med staff and the Olivia staff.  The resort was great, food was good, pools great and beaches clean.  We went into Ixtapa via cab and had dinner off the compound.  Amazing!  Shopping was good......not much of it but had a good time.  Most of all, being able to vacation with hundreds of lesbians from all over the US, Canada and even Europe was the best.  We met so many wonderful women and met two gals from Phoenix.  Ironically, we're planning on moving there in the next few months.  Met them for dinner on a short weekender in AZ.  All in all, Ixtapa is a vacation that you shouldn't miss.  A+ all the way.  Hope to see you there.

Carolyn,

Lisa and I had our first Olivia experience on a Caribbean Cruise in 2007.  We next booked the Turks/Caicos Resort last fall 2008.  We won a 2 for 1 to Ixtapa during that trip.  Although we had a wonderful time in the Turks/Caicos, the Club Med was in much need of repair.  But you know the Olivia gals, nothing kept us from having fun.  BUT.....when we arrived at Club Med Ixtapa, it was like heaven on earth.  What a beautiful resort with amazing views, especially the sunset every evening.  The days were filled with games, pool, ocean, drinks, fun, more drinks, naps, more drinks, food with drinks and so on!!!  The group was amazing (as they all are) and we believe the resort vacation (although we do love cruising) is so much more relaxed, laid back and casual.  You will NOT be disappointed.  We are bringing more people with us and in fact met a couple on our first trip that we have remained close with and they have booked as well.  They are from Michigan and we from Kentucky.  Can't wait to see old friends and meet new ones such as yourself and partner.  There will be somewhat of a reunion of the 09 group as several of us booked for the 2nd time.

Look forward to meeting you and yes, the countdown has begun!!

Question for those who went to Ixtapa in January '09...

My partner and I are booked (partly because of the enthusiasm of this board!!), but I'm curious...  Many on this board have said that this resort trip (last year) was their favorite.  What made it so special?  Was it the resort, the beach, the people, the food, the entertainment?  I have traveled with Olivia before, so I totally understand the amazing experience of being surrounded by lesbian women, but I don't think that you all are referring to that because I think many of you travel with Olivia regularly.  Any insight?

LESS THAN SIX MONTHS TILL IXTAPA!!!

Thanks!!!
