I've read that the "swim-with-the-dolphins" is unkind as the dolphins are enclosed away from their natural habitat.  But zip-lining sure sounds like fun.  I don't think my gf will do it but we will see!

Sooo - sweet-n-sassy, while THEY are proving their amazonian prowess by swinging in trees and screaming/blowing their lungs out ... WE will be sipping our drinks, watching them prove their prowess, and waiting for their amazonian-selves to beg us for support, sympathy, and pampering.  Not a bad deal I'd say.....for us!

I'm with you Wolfwood....I'll be part of the support group...But I have to admit that I have never seen ziplining and it does look so fun. I was even considering trying it but just got diagnosed a few days ago with Severe Osteoporosis and the docs say I have to be careful not to break anyting. Can you believe that???

I still feel so strong. Guess I'm going to have to watch picking my travel bags up and throwing them on the scale..BooHoo!  Crying

I am absolutely with the zipline and trapeze "chickens"  --did it in Costa Rica and was terrified, altho if you are up for a bunch of sympathetic women surrounding you and patting and hugging ---might be your idea of a good time in spite of the height!  kitty

"too chicken to zipline" that's my GF for ya!  She knows I used to go repelling with the guys I used to work with off Mt Lemon when we lived in Tucson…so it's basically…been there…done that!

Really…Azar got a group together last year to go Ziplining…then half of them chickened out!  So if you all want to get together to do a Zipline tour…she'd be more than happy to join on in!

All us photo peeps can go into town (Zihuatanejo) one day and shoot some local color.

And sitting around waiting for and watching the many great sunsets we can all swap horse stories!!

I believe that Ixtapa is in the same time zone as CST.

Hi Wolfwood-Thanks for the great welcome (from everyone).     Yes I def fit in on the love of shooting photos!     Hard to take a bad photo in paradise!    SMoke was a working cow pony in MT this summer!    We are still working on it tho :)    Its great that there are so many horse lovers on this trip!   Cant wait to hear everyones stories and meet everyone.  On the excursion side, i def want to swim w/ dolphins so count me in there.....and the riding if that gets together (sounds promising!!).      i really WANT to do Zipline but I am a bit of a chicken too.....sounds like there are so many activities that you can stay busy if you want, or go relax on the beach if you want easier times. I have a question, do the resturants and bars/nightlife on the resort shut down at a certain hour?     How far are we off US time, like say EST or CST?    J//equiger

Equiger .... that's all that's needed .... a love of shooting photos and making memories!!!  All the tech knowledge in the world doesn't make a good photo.  If there's no heart there ... it's just a snapshot that anyone could have taken!!

As for the theme idea re: Horses and Paradise - - - I think you're on to something here!  btw, I used to be an "owner", too ... had a grey Arab x Appaloosa gelding who had been a working cowpony in Montana.  Don't know why he ended up on the East Coast but I'm sure glad he did.  He was my best friend for several years!!!  Ahhhhh...nothing like that warm breath on a cold winter morning .....

Hey Azar, great hearing from you on the thread!  That's almost as rare as K.C. posting.  I empathize with Jana, I'm chicken to zip line too, but I'll swim with the dolphins with ya!
