Hi there everyone, its Jennifer Anne from Winnipeg, Canada.

I am home sick today with a bad cold, watching all the seasons of the L Word on DVD.

We are in the middle of a spring snow storm right now with possible flooding on the way.

Needless to say I cant wait until Glen and I return to Ixtapa next year.  I pulled out my bamboo night wear the other day and I swear the scent of Ixtapa was still there.  No, not the musty scent but the ocean.

Now I have packed it away and when ever I want to return I just have to inhale and I am right back on the beach.

What a great trip.

Those were taken on the beach and around the resort.  But yes ... I can say the beachfront suites were extra nice!

The ocean view is the ONLY way I would go now, I am trying to get time off for that trip!  Bring two bathing suits ladies, its mexico its humid,  and the joke of what is that smell from Katch,  was pointing exactly to that!  I too only noticed at first, I think we got to used to it to tell you the truth.  I hope we can go again, I had the time of my life, and another thing, the ocean view suites you are treating like royalty, it was a wonderful treat.  Hope to see you all there!!

P.S. that kind of smell you are referring to has always been anywhere I stayed in mexico due to the humidity. Have afew drinky poohs and you wonot notice a thing.

Hello Ladies or should I say Xtapa Ladies since you are all returning there.  This will be our first time at Xtapa.  We went to Cancun last May 2008 and had a great time.  I hear this place is even better than Cancun????  We both live in Pittsburgh were it is very cold in January, February, March and sometimes April too.

We can't wait to meet all of you or at least say hi in passing, but hope to make a lot of friends!

Peggy and Kris

Yea, we have the "quik-dry" also but if we went in late, the tops were not always dry (can you say "CT's) LOL!  I only notice the mustiness at first also, I was just wondering if it was just our room or all.  As I suspected, the humidity was thru-out.

3' deep!  too funny for the "adult pool"  actually, most of my pool time was spent in the shallow pool in the main area.  The deeper pool always seemed to be either full or rowdy with pool games (fun to watch but I'm NOT athletic enough to participate)

I think we are going to try for one of the ocean view rooms next time but I cannot book until Janice's vacation is confirmed.  I'll just take what I can get at that point.  I suspect that there will be a variety available even then.

We went on one of the snorkeling excursions (on the catamaran) do you know if there was snorkeling on the little island in the bay?

We had a Deluxe Oceanview Suite in the Cielo Building ~ it was actually Oceanfront!

Expensive ~ but was super huge and really nice!

I think that when you come from a dryer climate you tend to notice when things smell a bit damp & musty.  We noticed it the first day ~ then forgot all about it.

We both wear those “quik-dry” shorts and tops for swimming – so by the next day they were dry.

As for the small “adult” pool that was near us ~ I don’t think 3’ quite cut it!  So you didn’t miss much!

We very much lived being there and were wishing today that that’s where we were!

The Ixtapa Club Olivia reunion can’t come soon enough!!!!!
