This my partner and I's first cruise and we decided on Olivia for our first experience. We cannot wait to get on the ship and meet everyone. We have finally booked our flight and now are ready to go. We cannot wait.

We are excited to be taking our first Olivia cruiseBig Smile We even roped our friends in to taking the trip with us. The airline ticket prices are high, but it was "Olivia or Bust" for us Stick out tongue We have been keeping up with the happenings, and changing of entertainment for this cruise. But that hasn't changed our excitement about this trip!! Can't wait to see you all onboard!

A happy, hearty welcome to all!!  Have no fear, you will have a great time!  Olivia does a great job on hosting all kinds of activities, and if you just want to hang, well we will be on a great ship to do just that!

Yep, the middle of the middleof the ship is always stable.  Yet if you do have a room located elsewhere and experience sea sickness, there are several things one can do to counter attack.  Several people have mentioned taking ginger tabs one week ahead of the trip and then through out the trip, others use the patches, pills from the doctor, forgot the names of the medicine, and others swear that if one puts a piece of cotton is one ear and stay active that it counteracts sea sickness.  The worse thing one can do is stay in the room, so get to the middle of the ship, eat apples, drink lots of water and breathe the fresh air.      If anyone else has tips, please post!

In the topic page of the Q's and A's and other questions, it is like the Main page to read up on.  If you want to meet people, then come to the meet and greet on the day of sailing on the LIDO deck after you settle in upon boarding the ship.  Many will be bring some kind of group gifts, nothing expensive, just something fun to put out on the table.  If every person brings four items of whatever, then there will be plenty to go round.  This is a great time to meet people, some may become life long friends.

So, keep on posting and see ya soon!

Inde Cool

Hello Everyone,

This will be the first Olivia Cruise for my partner and I as well. ili my partner has been on cruise before but not with Olivia. I have never been on any cruise and have always been terrified of being on a ship. Dont ask Confused  you will surely laugh!

Anyway...despite my terror I planned this cruise as a combo birthday/ 5 year anniversary present for her. My fear is quickly being replaced with excitement as I am sure that it will be an incredible experience.

I cant wait to meet all of you!

April (ilisgirl)

The main deck near the atrium is busy..... but it's in the middle of the boat, so if you're afraid of motion sickness, it's not too bad.... you will never travel any other way agian!  You and your partner will LOVE it!

Hi,

Me and my partner are going on our first Olivia cruise and we're so excited.  SInce i've never been on one before though, and have been on other ships where we didn't have the ideal room location, i was hoping that someone could tell me if they know what end and side of the ship have the best room locations.  RIght now we're on the main deck near the atrium.

Thanks much and look forward to meeting some new people and having lots of fun.
