Hello Sportsbabe:

We look forward to meeting you on the ship.  We won't be at the pre cruise party but we will be at the sail away party on the Lido deck.  We are so looking forward to this cruise.  It's our first Olivia cruise and we can't wait.  It will be great fun to meet other 50's and over gals to have fun with and enjoy the cruise.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi MC:

We welcomed your reply and look forward to meeting you. We have cruised on other cruises with Holland America and Carnival, however, this will be our first cruise. It is convenient living near the ports.  Saves a lot of $ on airfare. We  have friends who live in Cocoa and I also love going to Cocoa Beach.  My partner, Denise, is not a beach person so I really enjoy visiting with them and going to the beach.  We're originally from Pennsylvania and have been living in Umatilla for 2 years.  We started spending the winters here in Umatilla at the campground next door to where we live and we liked the area so much that we decided to stay.

We're looking forward to a "50's and over" get-together so I'm hoping that they do have one.  And having it early in the cruise, as you mentioned, would really be beneficial.

Hopefully, we'll get to meet each other cause it would be great to have another couple to pal around with on the cruise.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends.

Can't wait for the cruise!!Cool

Terrie

Hi, Terrie and Denise -- Glad you told us where Umatilla, FL was -- we're going to

Orlando (for a meeting) in early November....often when we go, we drive over to

Cocoa Beach (cause I like the ocean)...  Have you cruised other than Olivia -- you mentioned being near the cruise ports....I guess there are lots of Florida specials??

We've been on Celebrity, HOlland America, Royal Caribbean....but coming from NY state

we always have the air fare to add on -- it must be neat to live there, near the cruise ports.

When I went before on Olivia we had a "50's and over" get together where we all got to

meet each other...I hope we do that on this cruise too -- we did it the last THursday

of the cruise -- but decided we should have done it earlier (like the first "at sea" day) so we then would recognize each other when we saw each other...

We are in Irving, Tx.  I am Terry, 60, and my partner is Margie, 72.  We cruised Alaska in September 2007 and can't wait for November for the Bash.  We are interested in meeting lesbians from the DFW area as we cannot seem to find any in Irving, lol.  We are just looking forward to relaxing and enjoying ourselves on this cruise.

Hi Buddy Bear, I am Ellen and my partner is Malinda. We hail from Sturgis MI. Not far from Ann Arbor. 2 hours, maybe. This is our first Olivia cruise, been on others, but not just women. What a hoot!! I am 59, Malinda is 63. We have been together for 9 years. I am with you about the dress-up deal. Malinda is the hottie, and I am the casual butch. Hopefully I will lose a few more pounds before the trip so my dressy wardrobe of last year will be good enough!! We are both retired, so this is a big splurge for us. Hope it is all that we hope it will be. Cool

Good to hear the dress code is flexible as I really want to pack light and casual. CUDOS to 30 years together.

It is great that so many various age groups are on the cruises, it is hard to find age peers in our community as many lesbian/gay hangouts seem to focus on the younger crowd.

I am hoping there is a way for all of us 50 plusers to meet up on the cruise somehow.

 Cheers

BB

Welcome aboard!  We went on our first Olivia cruise last summer on the Greek Isles cruise, so much fun.  The different music venues have music for all ages, even in the disco.....how's that word for proving I'm a boomer.  I was thinking about the musical performers, "the Go'Go's".  When you stop and think about it, they probably belong in this group too.   Big Smile

My name is Terrie and my partner's name is Denise..This will be our first Olivia cruise.  We have been together 15 years this year so this is our anniversary present to ourselves.  We live in Umatilla, Fla. (where's that?).  It's about 1 hour north of Orlando on Rt 19.  We have lived in Florida for 2 years, but spent the winters here prior to building a house.  We really love the convenience of being close to the ports when it comes to cruising.  Can't wait to meet new friends and have a wonderful time on this cruise.  It really sounds like it's going to be great.  What's not to like with a ship full of gay women and great entertainment...Right?

Hi, Carol and Jill -- congrats for the long time together-- my partner (also named Mary) and I have been together 30 in July.....

Yes...Olivia cruises are so flexible about dressing up -- you see everything and it's all

ok -- casual to very dressy....Am looking forward to the relaxing, sunning, reading and taking a break too -- this is probably our 10th cruise -- 2nd for me on Olivia....

I think one thing I like about Olivia cruises (there are many) is that with all the age groups there are places to hear the kinds of music WE like...and can dance to -- before or after dinner, you can find every kind of music....and that's super....

Look forward to meeing you all....

Hello all you 50 plusers!!

Just decided we had better get on the ball and start connecting with you gals that are going on the 35th Birthday Celebration Cruise in late November. We are so excited, our last real vacation was in 2003 to Ireland. We are Carol and Jill and have been together 21 years this past January. We are 57 (58 by time cruise occurs) and 50 (51 when cruise occurs) and live in Louisville, KY. We moved her in early 2007 from Ann Aror, MI as Jill's company there opened a site here in Louisville -- this is our first cruise ever and we are really looking forward to it -- I am the casual one and that dress up stuff is not sitting well for me, but Jill likes to dress up here and there and does not mind being girly --- so we will both find dress up clothes that will work for us as I understand Olivia has a broad view for dress up == and since we paid big bucks for this trip == me thinks I will determine what dress up is for me. I am all about chiilin', relaxing, sunning, reading, and just truly taking a break and seeing the sights and hopefully seeing some great shows..

Anyone else from Kentucky out there!!! Anyone hail from MIchigan? We both look forward to meeting new folks and friends.

I go by Buddy Bear --- can't wait to hear from someone and get on that big boat!!!

Yes..Yes...that was the Spring 06 cruise -- I was on that trip as a solo (I had a partner, but she wasn't along)....you are the only one whose screen name I recognize from that group -- wish a few others would show up (like Donkey Pal, Squash chicks, etc)...I actually visited squash chicks a few times (they lived in Phila -- now moved to Boston area)....Glad you are enjoying life as it is -- it's sometimes hard to lose a partner

at this age....whew...I couldn't take the singles scene, that's for sure...

See you soon...
