Hey they reopened it and I was able to get on so if you were waitlisted on the Rhythms of the Night you should be able to sign up  on board the ship.  Good luck

Don't wait around for someone to call you back - call Olivia 1-800-631-6277, when you hear the recorded announcement begin - dial 0 and ask to speak to someone who is physically there - this is how I always get someone - you may have to wait on hold for awhile, but you'll get someone. 

You WILL need your e ticket to get on the ship.  Did you check your junk/spam mail to make sure it did not end up there.  There was one time I didn't get mine and had to call - this time we got three each.

Of course we are going to "the office" and the beach area that surounds the entire area.  All of the restaraunts and such are right on the beach and next to each other, so you don't have to actually eat there, although pretty good food yet somewhat pricey.  Lots to do in the area and so much to choose from....

We will be there I am sure by 10am or 11am or so, since we are now arriving at 8am in Cabo instead of noon.  There will be many people attempting to get off the ship most likely for their tours that start at 9:30am as we have to be "tendered" to the dock in Cabo because the ship is too big to go all the way to the docks.

Kim,  the e-ticket that you haven't received is your cruise ticket- you'll need to receive and print it out for boarding....at least that's what my eticket states. Pisses me off when they don't call me back.....

I think we've decided to not persue any organized excursions and explore on our own...   Just play it by ear.

Well, that explains it. I haven't received an e ticket and my phone calls have not been returned. Maybe I was just dreaming, after all.

The booking number is on the e ticket that you should have received by email.  It is not an attachment.  But no worries, you can book on the ship.  Whe we first cruised we were nervous about not using HAL excursions, however, we have been on 8 other cruises on several lines and we have booked on shore and never had a problem.  The tour operators know the ship's schedule and they would be out of business in a heartbeat if they didn't get you back on time.  The other thing we found is that many times tours booked at the dock have people leading the tours that really know the areas. They are not drop ins who come in for the sole purpose of doing tours for the cruise line.  We book both ways.  So don't be dissapointed there will be plenty of things to do on shore even if not booked with HAL.

I don't seem to have received a "booking number" yet, so I haven't been able to even look at the possible excursions. I'm getting the distinct impression that I may be out of luck for any of the excursions.  Can anyone tell me where to find the booking number (maybe I'm just overlooking it)? I've left a message with the Customer Care Dep't but haven't gotten a call back yet.

Hi Seelife, and others booked on the Cabo solos excursion - I got the email today that says:

Due to a recent itinerary change, the departure time for the Deluxe Coastal Cruise excursion from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico has been changed from 2:30p.m. to 9:30a.m.  

 Hmm, well, I guess tthat means more time in the afternoon to do our own thing, or nap!!, prior to the evening partying??? 

Yes, we are arriving earlier and still departing at the original time..yes,...more time to enjoy Cabo!!!!!!

We got an e-mail from Olivia stating our new arrival time and to check in with Holland America to see if they have added more excursions to accomodate the earlier arrival time.  More time in warm weather will be excellent.  Looking forward to meeting you.  LBC'rs Sue & Shannon

I am so bummed out because we wanted to do "rythems of the night" on peurto vallarta but it was sold out.  I see there are a bunch of web sites that still have openings but they are not associated with the Olivia tour so I am concerned.  Some say you should never book an excursion not assocoated with your cruise because if something happens and you do not get back to the ship on time the ship will leave without you.

 Rythems of the night has a pickup time of 6:30 PM and says it is approximately 5 hrs.  With a midnight departure time it is very close.

 Is anyone else booking tours from private websites?

How did you find out they revised our arrival time in Cabo?  Are we still leaving at 8 pm?  The shore excursions website on HollandAmerica.com still shows noon - 8 pm.  I hope it is wrong and you are right!
