I'm booked on the Alaska cruise but haven't yet made the air reservations. I was unsure of when to make the return reservations from Anchorage. I wanted to be sure to leave enough time to get to Anchorage. What's a safe time to book the flight out?

Hi,

I just wanted to update what I found on airfare. I did a multiple destination flight with United Airlines and got the flight to Vancouver from Las Vegas and then from Anchorage to Las Vegas for $575.93 per person. It was the best that I found so I went ahead and bought the tickets. Just one more thing done for the trip. I can't wait.

I would love to hear from anyone else that is going to be on this cruise. My gf and I can be shy at times so it would be nice to already know someone. We have also signed up for the pre-cruise trip in Vancouver so we will be getting in on the 17th.

Christina

When you book your roundtrip tickets for the Alaska trip tell the airlines rep specifically that you would like an open-jaw round trip. That way you get the roundtrip price even though you are arriving and departing from 2 different cities. My understanding is that this is done especially for cruises etc that start and end in different places. That is how we booked the airfare for the Scandanavia trip and it worked well.

Yep, the price I got was per person. We're arriving in Vancouver the Thursday before the cruise and we're flying out of Anchorage on Friday, May 30th because we also booked one of the post trip vacations.

Hello Everyone,

My gf and I have already booked the cruise and can't wait for the trip. I read on one of the posts that you can find airfare from $500 to $600 the cheapest I have found so far is $1300 for both of us. Is the price you found per person? Just curious. We don't care what it costs we are just so excited to go.

I was really happy to see this Forum.
Thanks for listening.

Christina

Hi Brave1 - there are 4 of us here in Michigan who booked flights to Vancouver and from Anchorage for less than $400 per person directly from a major airline. Keep checking, you should be able to find a deal.

My wife & I just came back from the MI Womyn's Music Festival. We had a wonderful time and the opportunity to see Georgia Ragsdale (comedianne) live on stage. She had us laughing so hard. Then I went to her website where I noticed on her tour schedule that she's performing on this cruise! We're in for a real treat, girls! She's not only funny, but really cute too.

Hello Braveone -

The trip sails from Vancouver to Seward. You would fly into Vancouver and home from Anchorage. Our staff traveled last year for $500-$600 from all over the country.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss air travel - we'd love to have you join us on this very popular trip!

Thanks, Jeri :)

Hi. I have what may seem like a silly question. My gf and I are planning on booking the Alaskan Cruise, but we were wondering something. It starts in Vancouver, so that's where we'd fly to from Calif, but it looks like they just drop you off in Anchorage and we'd have to fly home from there. Is that how it works or do they take you back to Vancouver? It could make a difference as to wether we book or not, because the difference in air fare is about $1,500 a person, which would make the trip unaffordable. Can anyone help?
