Hey jenntray! Glad to see you guys made it. Yeah, it really stinks being at work more than home. Hopefully, January will be here before we know it! Not much going on with us. We just got back from vacation and we had a GREAT visit with JoCindy! We're getting Jess ready for back to school and just working away. Not much excitement up in the mountains. Hi everyone, I wanted to say that we are back. Jen anyway and I report to Tray what's happening. We just wanted to say hi and we miss everyone. I see that we needed a breather from the last discussion. I personally don't have any comments on the kd thing at the moment so I will just wait to see if anyone comes back in here.

Dana, I see you have yourself a separate identity! Cute. JoCindy, glad to see you popping in too. Brew and Evergreen I have missed you guys as well. What about JAF and Masues? Are they still too slung up to check in?

Curious what you all found out about the KD concert. Does each person drawn get 2 tickets? That would be good so you could go with your partner.

Are they still working out the bugs on it? It is such a shame.

Good grief.   If only some of the bigger, more important issues in this world could raise the level of outrage and concern this has. . .

 

I'm bowing out, Ladies.  You all can "have at it" as they say.

I would really be sad too if I were going. I have my OWN issues on the Carib. Treasure cruise's announcement. But regarding KD or whoever- I think that is just crappy (read between the lines) and they should book someone else for 2 shows. But then those who signed up to want to see KD will be upset. It should never have come to this.  It will even cause more of a nightmare if they book someone else cool and ONLY the other half gets to see them!! What a nightmare. I know I would not want to be on a shuttle to shore, or elevator or in the dining room and hear people RAVE about how cool it was. That is like rubbing salt in to the wound.

Also- part of our price for the ticket includes paying for the BIG celebrity. Wonder if you would get any sort of refund. You paid for it and don't get to go?  That will not happen, but it should! Also those with travelers ins. should be able to cancel and get their money back if they went on this one in particular just to see KD. I would be pushing that. I would also be pushing Olivia to let you take a different cruise if the one big draw to you spending SO MUCH money was KD.

 

What is the deal with this spell check- we have to download some program?- Does it cost? Does it take up alot of space? Anyone done it? Have to do it each time? I want the old Forum back!

I so agree with Evergreen and JoCindy...and all the others that have voiced their disappointment in the one only k.d. show. It has taken me several days to figure out why I was so upset (other than the fact that if my partner and I do not get to see the show that we have subsidized someone else's k.d. ticket). After reading JoCindy's post, it finally dawned on me why this one only k.d. show has made me so sick to my stomach.  Now I know, it's because of my wonderful experience I had on the 2007 Caribbean cruise. Last year was our first Olivia cruise, and we were amazed...so amazed by our experience that we booked the 2008 Dreams cruise while we were on the ship. Until the 2007 Caribbean cruise, my partner and I had never been in an environment where we could be sooooo free. We thought we had died and gone to heaven. We were all finally equal. Every morning when my partner and I woke up, we just giggled because were having so much fun. I too live somewhere that everyday I do not get some of the privileges that others get, and sometimes it just wears you down. I'm not sure what is going to be worse on the "Dreams" cruise...getting to see k.d. when I know others do not get the same privilege as me or having to see and hear how wonderful the k.d. concert was when I did not get to attend. The whole thing just makes me really really sad.

Brewmax, I think you are confused about what people are upset about. Nothing here can upset  most, for sure. I definitely was not bothered by your feelings about this concert & I don't think anyone else was.  Your views are your own &, as all of us, you should "feel free" to express them. 

Just let others express them without labelling them as "bitching & moaning" when we are merely providing the feedback to Olivia, that they solicit so frequently, & sharing our thoughts with others.

Don't think for one minute that it's all about your attitude.

JoCindy, that wasn't my point. 

 

I said I didn't understand why my attitude about this situation seemed to upset people so.  I never said I didn't understand why others might be upset or offended about it - in fact, I said I DID understand that, but added that I (personally) decided to adopt a different attitude of "wait and see" about what else was to come and how this all might play out in the end.

 

I respect your opinion, and those of others, about feeling left out or discounted or "separated" somehow by this, but I just don't happen to share it and don't understand why the fact that I don't seems to have upset so many.

 

Sorry you and others are so upset. . . hope you all become happier about this over time.
