I found those newbies on the Cruise for a Cause site- I wrote them this:

Hey ladies- we have a runion site and a non reunion site on another area here. It would be nice to have everyone all tiogether. I found you guys here a few days ago and could never find you again. Please come join us as most will not find you and you will miss out.

Here is where we are:

Go to Connect, Go to Featured Groups, go to See all groups, look at featured groups, and you will find Carib. Treasures 2008. There will be the 2 conversations going on there. I am an "other"- non reunion and thought it would be good to have 2 seperate groups as they all know each other and we don't.

ALSO- some are talking on the Olivia Lounge too under Carib. Treasure.

Hey- the reunion- non reunion group is finally taking off.Well atleast the reunion one. See- is IS more personal of a group- and that is fine. Just need one for the "others'.

Should we spread the word to just use those two?

OK- under main page of connect- middle page is featured groups and carib treaseure is ther that iw where I put the reunion/non reunion group. It is easy to see.

But we are also here on loungeand I found a gal under the "cause" one I think that is a newbie and can't find her again.

Would be nice to consolidate it to one- but would need to be a big notice somewhere on the main page so poeple know what to look for and find it. Crusie for a Cause or whatever is hard for me to remember- imagine others are the same and looking for carib. treasures. Wish Olivia would respond.

Hi guys. My two bobs worth - should we decide on which thread we're going to all chat on and keep to it.  Maybe we could redirect people from the old threads to the new one.  Given the Cruise for a Cause one is linked to the actual cruise details, can I suggest we use that one?  That way newbies will find it easier to find.

There are 2 groups for this cruise.  The "Cruise for our Cause" group is the one Olivia created.  I created the "Caribbean Treasures 2008" group before Olivia created the "official" one. 

PS- under Travel- the group is listed on there as "Cruise for a Cause" and a newbie has posted.

I just stumbled on it.

We are spread out all over.

Whatever- I am easy.

I know some of my friends felt like it was more a reunion topic than newbies going for the first time- or "others" like mysself. It WAS mostly a get together on there. So they quit reading about our trip. Will be nice if they DO make it's own "group" so it does not get lost on the Lounge. Everything is too hard to find as it is.

 

Not to be too nitpicky, but....

Just to clarify - I created the original Caribbean Treasures board (in the travel groups section) before Olivia created the "Cruise for our Cause" board. Donkeypal added two discussions on my board - one for those who are in the "reunion" group and one for those, like me, who I guess would be considered the "others".

Honestly though, I would prefer that we don't separate the two groups.  I feel it would be much more beneficial to everyone on the Caribbean Treasures "Cruise for our Cause" to chat on the same boards.  It seems that most on this cruise already, including myself, chat in the Olivia Lounge anyway.

As the moderator, I have also already contacted Olivia to see if they would add the group to the cruise page as one of the official group boards.

That's all of my whining for now. 

Hey- I started a 2 boards (in the group) for the cruise- for the reunion group and for the "others". No one is on there. I also asked that t our Carib. Treasure group be added to the list of groups that we can chat on and easily find. Ha! But maybe I did it wrong. Just like to find us all easily and not take up the lounge.

Okay, so I'm now a believer that wishes really do come true.  Kim and I practically wet our pants when we found out that Kim's absolute FAVORITE band in the world, Heart, will be performing on our cruise!!!!!!

WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!! 

Now if we can just get Ellen Degeneres on the cruise.....

Mary, of all people, you should be Olivia's official spokesperson on here. You certainly have the experience.

Love the way you avoid pain/withdrawal & isn't it true that many of us need to always have an Olivia booked at all times? We do for sure but the retirement account can't stretch to the record you are setting.

Greetings ladies.... I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July and Canada day!!! This is Mary here from Nanaimo and I know what you all mean about being addicted to Olivia and then some! I am soooo hooked.... I will be joining you on this cruise. That is after I do the Alaska cruise in Sept. and P.Vallarta Resort in Nov... doing more trips takes the pain/withdrawal symptons away as one does not have to wait too long for your next hit of that magic "Olivia dust"!!!

I was talking about the cruise today with a friend and getting psyched about it. I cannot wait for it. We will have a blast!!

I'm off to pick up Naf at the airport this afternoon. We are going canoeing down the Shenandoah River tomorrow and then to Luray Caverns. Naf has never been so it will be nice to take her. It's one of my favorite places.
