We and 22 of our closest friends booked this trip yesterday! Included are the famous (or infamous) Oklahomos from the Hawaii cruise. Also going are a number of Oregonians and even some Texans and Hoosiers...some are Olivia virgins, many are true blue Olivians. What a trip it will be!
Jeez, October, 2008....can we wait that long?

I've got 4 pairs but they are all size 6!!! Each pair only fits one leg!

Try oudoor stores or sporting goods stores for the cactus juice. It comes in a spray, or as a lotion in combination with sunblock. I used the sunblock/repellent a few years ago in Honduras and I had no problems!

Good point. I had forgotte, but now that you mention it, Susan got pretty chewed up by the little critters as well. She had bites all over her legs. This time we will make sure to bring plenty of cactus juice (a natural repellent that works great!).

I don't know if Bev & Susan or others that have been to T&C had this problem. It might be restricted to a particular time of year.
Once, when we were there in the month of December there was a problem with sand fleas (noseeums)on the beach late afternoon.

It was yet another terrible experience for Phyl in T&C (Not that that would deter us from visiting again because we just love it there!)

Anyway, at the Grace Bay Club they served Sorbet, on the beach, late afternoon.
The first time we took advantage of this it was followed by a dreadful night as she was itching like crazy from bites & I had to keep wrapping cold wet towels around her legs to try to ease the irritation. ALL NIGHT (Ah, do you think I'd make a good nurse? NOT!) The next morning she had to go to the doctor because it was sooo bad.

So, you will be in the same area. Be careful you don't get attacked by those little critters!

When we went in 2005, we went early and stayed in a Comfort Suites about a mile from the Club Med. It was very cheap because it is not on the beach, but clean and pretty nice. Great way to get a couple of extra days in without spending a fortune!
